From the west it is washed by the Pacific Ocean, from the east it is guarded by the snowy peaks of the majestic Andes, in the south it is a stone's throw to the ice blocks of Antarctica, and the north is crowned by the Atacama Desert, which is considered the driest in the world and has 160 cactus species here. Here is such a conglomerate of climatic zones of one small state.
Actually, Atacama is the main attraction of the country. Looking at the space photography, one gets the impression that Attacks are akin to the lunar surface. No wonder the famous sculptor Mario Irarrazabal chose this place to make his dream come true – to create a giant desert art object “Hand of the Desert”, symbolizing the cry for help of a lonely traveler in the desert. Something akin to the biblical expression “A voice crying in the wilderness.” A large-scale show!

Fray-Jorge Biosphere Reserve – an oasis in the Chilean desert

An oasis in an arid desert is always like a little miracle. It is such a miracle, called the Fray-Jorge Biosphere Reserve, that can be observed in the southern part of the Atacama Desert.
The spectacle amazes even seasoned tourists – a lush bright green forest area amid silent drought… UNESCO declared this biosphere zone a world heritage and a national biosphere reserve of Chile, about which a corresponding decree was signed in 1977.

Island of the Dolls – a mysterious and alluring corner of mysterious Mexico

It is generally recognized that Mexico is considered one of the most amazing countries in the world: inimitably beautiful nature, the mysterious heritage of the Incas, a conglomerate of various cultures, the breath of space…
And where, no matter how here, this frightening island should have appeared, beckoning true connoisseurs of world mysteries with its secrets and legends?
And the legend is this: 1975 Don Julian Santana moors to the island of La Isla de la Muneca on a boat fully loaded with dolls – old, outdated, broken. Already creepy… Then this gentleman ties the dolls to tree branches with ropes… What is this? Blurred Mind? The locals have since called this place the Island of Dolls, and are convinced that the soul of a little girl who once drowned in the river that is nearby has settled here, and she comes to play with dolls at night. Other residents are convinced that dolls are a talisman against evil spirits.
