One of these is Crete<\/strong>, one of the most popular island<\/a>s in the world<\/a>. The history<\/a> of Crete<\/a> began more than 7,000 years BC, of \u200b\u200bcourse, today it is difficult to believe it, but some remains of architectural structures that have survived to our time allow touching the legends<\/a> of the ancient island. Crete has a large number of fortresses and palaces where the most famous kings lived. Some of the most popular places<\/a> are Knossos, Phaistos palace<\/a>s and Kato Zakros palace. Tour<\/a>ists are also attracted by the caves, which have a mythical origin. The Vai Palm Forest<\/a> is famous for<\/a> its special attractiveness – the only one of its kind in Europe<\/a> – the most beautiful place on the island.<\/p>\n

In addition, mills, gardens, parks, museums and, of course, pristine white sand beaches<\/a> are presented to the attention of tourists<\/a>. Some of the most popular resorts in Crete are: Stalis, Hersonissos, Chania, Rethymno, Elounda and Agios Nikolaos. Moreover, the last two places are quite expensive and fashionable resorts. As for Hersonissos and Stalis, they are ideal for young people, because they are party resorts. Chania and Retino are famous for their beautiful sandy beach<\/a>es, measured relax<\/a>ation, so these resort<\/a>s are suitable for families<\/a> or couples in love.<\/p>\n

The island of Santorini<\/strong>, washed by the Aegean Sea<\/a>, is suitable for both young people and older people – in a word, those who prefer active holidays<\/a>. Santorini is a place that was actually formed on the rocks. The resort is sure to appeal to those who enjoy the abundance of mountains and rocky terrain.<\/p>\n

Santorini consists of many towns and villages, where there are convenient and comfortable hotel<\/a>s that meet all the requirements for a comfortable stay. As for the sights<\/a>, there are a great many of them on the island, but you can easily see<\/a> everything, because much is within walking<\/a> distance. In addition to the many gardens and parks in which Corfu is literally “drowning”, you can visit many historical sites and sights<\/a>: the fortresses of Corfu town, the Cathedral of St. Spyridon, the Royal Palace, Spianada Square, the ancient city<\/a> of Paleopolis, the village of Paleokastritsa and more.<\/p>\n

Rhodes<\/a><\/strong> is a no less favorite Greek island among tourists. Its beauty is literally overwhelming. Unsurprisingly, the island is often referred to as the jewel of the Mediterranean. Moreover, it has something to see and something to be surprised at. Ancient fortresses, which have been preserved since the Middle Ages, create the feeling of time stops, opening the gates to the past. Picturesque parks with wooden bridges, exotic plants and outlandish birds are simply mesmerizing, surprising and stunning at the same time. As for architectural monuments and ancient buildings, there are no less of them on the island. In general, Rhodes<\/a> can be called a paradise for lovers of archeology, who should definitely visit the town of Lindos, the villages of Siana and Asklipio, as well as the ruins of ancient Kamiros.<\/p>\n

It will not be superfluous for all tourists to look into a stunning place – the Petaloudes Valley (Valley of the Butterflies). As for the beaches, the best are located on the east coast between Faliraki and Lindos. Many of the beaches of Rhodes are ideal for surfers, who do not diminish from year to year, in fact, as well as young people who like to part<\/a>y. Many nightlife resorts<\/a> offer various clubs, bars and discos.<\/p>\n

\"Holidays<\/a><\/p>\n

All this can be found on the island of Mykonos<\/strong>, which is famous not only for its fun nightlife, where life is literally in full swing, but also for something else interesting<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Snow-white houses and houses, combined with blue windows, shutters and railings, perfectly contrast with the same blue waters of the sea<\/a>. In combination with picturesque bays and light sand – it looks so aesthetically pleasing that it is just right to paint landscape paintings. Many of the island's resorts are conside<\/a>red elite vacation spots where famous world stars, politicians and the richest bus<\/a>inessmen come. In addition to beautiful beaches, the best of which are concentrated on the south coast, and numerous surfing spots, Mykonos is famous for its ancient architectural monuments and structures.<\/p>\n

In their free time from the beach, tourists can visit the windmills (they are considered the hallmark of the island), the Church of Our Lady of Paraportiani, numerous villages of the island (each of which has its own history and attractions<\/a>), museums and Venice<\/a> in Greece. Of particular interest<\/a> among tourists is the place that was mentioned at the beginning – nudist beaches. Some of the most famous are: Elya, Paranga, Super Paradise and Paradise.<\/p>\n

Of course, so many piquant places on the island of Zakynthos<\/strong>(Zakynthos) is not to be found, but for that there is little that can be compared with its splendor. The island beckons with its clean beaches, natural beauty and cultural values. Venice<\/a> had a great influence on Zakynthos (Zakynthos), therefore its notes can be traced in the unusual architecture and musical characteristics. One of the island's attractions<\/a> is the Venetian Fortress – an interesting cultural monument, which not only amazes with its grandeur, but it also offers a stunning view. Tourists do not bypass the Blue Caves with their amazing arches and grottoes. It is also worth visiting the Monastery of Our Lady of Anafonitria, the Byzantine Museum and the Shipwreck Beach.
