Going a little further, you can visit<\/a> another legendary landmark that is indirectly associated with Aphrodite – this is the Adonis baths. On a hot summer day, plunge into the cool waters of the lake is a pleasant pleasure. According to the legend, this place was a favorite place where Aphrodite and her lover spent most of their time. In addition to a small waterfall that looks more like a stream with emerald water, these places are rich in stunning tropical plants and even flowers.<\/p>\n

Continuing the theme of natural attractions<\/a>, one cannot ignore the Akamas Peninsula<\/strong>, which is rightfully considered the main natural heritage of the island. Not only is it the most beautiful place in the whole of Cyprus, but it is also one of the last territories to be protected by UNESCO. On Akamas, tourists<\/a> can freely swim, ride bicycles, thoroughly explore the peninsula, visiting every corner of it, while, despite all the people around them, there will be a feeling of solitude and tranquility. These are the places. Rocky shores, hills and valleys, where amazing plants and wild animals live, are just a small fraction of what will open to the eyes of tourists<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Children love the excursion<\/a> to the ostrich farm<\/strong> located near Nicosia. You can go around it on a fabulous little train<\/a>, then taste the most delicate omelet made from ostrich eggs in a cafe, and “for dessert” – play with newborn ostriches.<\/p>\n

Ancient Kourion<\/strong> is an interesting<\/a> place for fans of ancient history<\/a>. Climbing a high cliff, tourists will see the ancient city<\/a> ruins and enjoy the gorgeous landscape that opens up from a bird's eye view. And in the city<\/a> itself, the guide will invite you to explore the sanctuary of Apollo of Hilates, the ancient theater and the Roman baths (baths).<\/p>\n

Also, curious tourists can be recommended to visit the unique<\/a> Museum of Shipwrecks of the Middle Ages<\/strong>, which is located in Kyrenia.<\/p>\n

And also – visit the tower of the jealous Moor in Famagusta<\/strong>. They say that it was its owner – the governor of Cyprus Christopher Moreau – who became the prototype of that very jealous man – the protagonist of Othello. In the same place, in Famagusta, you can see the ghost town<\/a> of Varosh<\/strong> from afar.<\/p>\n

Romantics should definitely plunge into the gentle waters of the Petra tou Romiu bay. Just imagine that it was in these waters that the beautiful Aphrodite emerged from the foam. Captures the spirit! We recommend that you consolidate the effect of such bathing on the Aliki salt lake (near Larnaca), where charming pink flamingos live, and then tastefully come off at one of the most groovy discos in Ayia Napa<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Oh, and don't forget to ride your little kids on a donkey at the Dipotamos donkey farm located in Ayia Napa. And do not be afraid of their unusual names – “Hitler” and “Schumacher” – donkeys are quite friendly and adore children.<\/p>\n
