One attraction that is visit<\/a>ed by almost everyone who has been to the capital is Jurong Bird Park, the largest in Asia. It is located in the industrial area<\/a> of \u200b\u200bthe capital Jerong. 5,000 birds of 380 species live on an area of \u200b\u200b20 hectares. The park appeared thanks to Mr. Goh Keng Swee, the Minister of Finance<\/a> of Singapore. In the late 60s, the doctor visited the zoo in Rio de Janeiro<\/a>, and was amazed by the huge enclosures where the birds were. They lived in as close to natural conditions as possible.<\/p>\n

Returning to his homeland, Mr. Goh Keng Swee decided to organize a place where people would have the opportunity to connect with nature and relax<\/a> their souls. He applied for funds for the construction of the park, the state allocated<\/a> them (more than 3 million Singapore dollars) and construction began. The grand opening of the Jurong Bird Park took place in 1971. But until recently, it has been modernized and completed. Since then, the park has been visited by millions of people – local reside<\/a>nts and guests of the capital. Amazing singing and colorful view of birds, exotic plants does not leave anyone indifferent.<\/p>\n

Navigation in the park is very convenient – signs are installed everywhere, it is impossible to get lost. It is also easy to get to the park itself, which is located half an hour from the city center<\/a>. You can use public transport<\/a>. By bus<\/a> from the bus station, which is located near the Boon Lay metro station (green line). Route<\/a>s 194 and 251 go to the park. In Singapore, transport works on schedule, you won't have to wait. The fare is about 1.5 S$. You should be aware that you cannot buy a ticket<\/a> on the bus, they are sold at the station. Get off at the Jurong Bird Park stop, then walk no more than 5 minutes.<\/p>\n

Of course, taxi<\/a>s are always at the service of tourists<\/a> – it will turn out to be more expensive (about 20S $), but the convenience and speed of a taxi<\/a> are undeniable.<\/p>\n
