We will introduce you to interesting places<\/a> in Prague, information about which you rarely find in guidebooks, but which are worth a look. After all, where else can you see<\/a> a shadow theater, an alchemist museum, a beer depot, a monument to sycophancy, a John Lennon wall, a museum of miniatures and a shadow theater? Interactive museum of alchemists and magic<\/a>ians of old Prague<\/h2>\n

Located<\/a> at Jansky Vrsek 312\/8 and dedicated to the famous alchemist Edward Kelly. It was in this house, under the funny name “At the Donkey's Cradle”, that he lived and worked on turning ordinary metals into gold, and also spent time communicating with spirits. Thanks to his unique skills, Kelly was under the auspices of Rudolph II, but the king of the Czech Republic<\/a>, without waiting for the promised mountains of gold, imprisoned the deceiver in prison, where he died. The museum is divided into two expositions.<\/p>\n

The first tells about the history<\/a> of alchemy, magicians, and the second clearly demonstrates his laboratory, which leads to the oldest staircase in Prague. The museum presents scrolls with magical knowledge, a philosophical egg, flasks with potions and a human skeleton, a magician's oven and a chest that will easily convince a tour<\/a>ist that he has golden hands in the truest sense of the word. All the exhibits can be touched, and decoctions and potions can be tasted in the rest<\/a>aurant of the Kelliksir museum. The ticket price for an adult visitor is 190 kroons, and for young guests – 90 kroons.<\/p>\n

Sculpture March<\/a> of penguins across the Vltava<\/h2>\n

On the banks of the Vltava River, close to the Kampa Museum, you can see the modern art monument “March of the Penguins across the Vltava”. These 34 recycled plastic figures are made by the creative community of Cracking Art. The penguins lined up to encourage the public to think about the problems of recycling and water pollution.<\/p>\n

Every day in the kingdom the sun rises and night falls. The ticket price is 260 CZK, while for children<\/a> under 1 meter tall the ticket will cost 50 CZK, a family ticket can be bought for 550 CZK. The Kingdom of Railways is open daily from 9.00 to 19.00.<\/p>\n

National Technical Museum<\/h2>\n

Ideal for people interested in engineering and technology. Here you can see airplane<\/a>s, cameras from different times, printing presses, astronomical clocks, old household appliances and architectural elements. Opening hours<\/a> of the museum Tuesday – Friday: 9.00-17.30, Saturday and Sunday: 10.00-18.00, Monday – day off. The cost of an adult ticket is 50 kroons, a child ticket is 30 kroons.<\/p>\n

If your child is less than 120 cm tall, the entrance ticket for him will cost 50 CZK. Opening hours daily from 10.00-20.00.<\/p>\n

You can diversify your vacation<\/a> by visit<\/a>ing the KGB Secret Service Museum. The exposition was created by people from the Black Rain community. The exhibits of this museum are things from the laboratory of the State Security<\/a> Committee, the death mask of Lenin, exhibits classified as “top secret” and personal belongings that belonged to the first persons of the USSR. Ticket price 200 kroons.<\/p>\n

Theater And Fiction<\/h2>\n

No words, just a play of light, shadows, pantomime and music. The optical effect is created thanks to the black cabinet created by Piotr Kratochvil, which brings the objects to life. You can get to the play at 19.30 and 21.30.<\/p>\n

Museum of Miniatures Anatoly Kononenko<\/h2>\n

Here are collected masterpieces of micro painting – 40 exhibits that can be viewed through a magnifying glass or microscope: the Eiffel Tower<\/a> 3.2 mm high, Chekhov's miniature story and a car<\/a>avan of camels. You will certainly be impressed by the 800 meters long toboggan run. During tight turns, you can pick up a speed of 62 km \/ h. The most pleasant moment for those who like to ride, but do not like to carry sleds – the mechanism itself lifts them up the mountain. All you have to do is enjoy the ride. Opening hours on weekdays from 12.00 to 20.00, on weekends from 10.00 to 22.00. The cost of the pleasure is 70 CZK for adults and 50 CZK for children.<\/p>\n

John Lennon Wall<\/h2>\n
