All this can be see<\/a>n in Brazil: two hundred kilometers from the country's capital, Brasilia, is the very place – Chapada dos Veadeiros.<\/p>\n

Brazilian officials at some point recognized that local beauties can be used to replenish the country's budget. Chapada dos Veadeiros is the perfect place for these purposes. The park was founded on January 11, 1961. The authorities recognized as a reserve the land surrounded by three rivers – the Amazon, Parana and San Francisco<\/a>. This piece of wilderness covers an area<\/a> of \u200b\u200b600 thousand hectares: a plain located at an altitude of 600 to 1650 m above sea<\/a> level. Biologists have counted about 25 plant species of this family. But the flora would not be so interest<\/a>ing without the fauna: there are a lot of living creatures in Chapada dos Veadeiros. Here live deer and jaguars (who somehow find mutual understanding), tapirs, armadillos – you can't count them all. Among birds, this place is very popular with vultures and toucans.<\/p>\n

However, the ancient plateau is interest<\/a>ing not only for biologists: Chapada dos Veadeiros is a storehouse of minerals. Quartz deposits attract the most – and not only geologists. It is here that the famous Moon Valley is located<\/a> – the most beloved territory of filmmakers who make films about travel<\/a>ing to other plane<\/a>ts. Natural quartz under the influence of the external environment in this place has changed so much that it has become similar to lunar craters: where else on Earth can you find such surreal landscapes. This is especially noticeable on a rock called Turtle, polished by the waters and sands of the rivers surrounding it.<\/p>\n
