At this time, the smallest splashes reach even those standing 30-40 meters from the foot of the waterfall and imperceptibly make the contemplators get wet through, therefore, it is recommended that those going to the waterfall take waterproof jackets or raincoats and sports shoes with them. At the jet's contact with the stream below, it “crumbles” into millions of splashes, sparkling in the sun with a diamond shine, and begins to “roll” along the rapids, forming mini-waterfalls. They are also very beautiful against the background of green openwork branches hanging from the pinkish-lilac rocks – there are many who want to admire such a landscape. As you move away from the place of confluence, the course of the mountain river becomes slower and calmer, and only a roar coming from afar reminds of the power of Itikira. Picturesque rocky shores of yellow sandstone with trees and shrubs growing on them frame the already unhurried flow of the same yellowish hue of water and create a majestic picture of the nature of the National Park of the same name.<\/p>\n

Spread over an area of \u200b\u200bthirty hectares, it is a real oasis of wildlife a few meters from the hot concrete and asphalt of the city<\/a> squares and streets of Formosa. In addition to the objects described above, the park contains almost all types of vegetation characteristic of the state of Goi\u00e1s, whose climate is typical of the savannas. Despite this, the vegetation of the reserve is very rich: here you can see varieties of palm trees: elephant, attalea, pashiuba, some specimens of which reach a height of 60 meters. There are also rare unique cotton trees, cedrela, rubber-seringeyr, cocoa tree. Wild-growing orchids captivate with their colorful beauty, luxurious ficuses amaze with the size of their leaves. A multitude of vines winds along the trunks and branches of plane trees and hornbeams, forming an intricate lace of patterned leaves.<\/p>\n

Well-groomed paths run through the park, along which numerous visit<\/a>ors walk. Near the park there is a tourist complex with a campsite, several rest<\/a>aurants serving Brazilian cuisine. In the protected park, everything is conducive to a pleasant pastime, when you can admire the exotic nature to your heart's content, list<\/a>en to the diversity of bird singing and clicking. The bird world<\/a> of the park is diverse: parrots, storks, herons, canaries feel free and happy, do not hide in the thick of branches.
