The Bregenz Forest<\/a> is an almost untouched mountainous area<\/a> located within the Ill, Lech and Rhine valleys. In the immediate vicinity of the Bregenz Forest are the territories of neighboring states: Switzerland<\/a> and Germany.<\/p>\n

Despite the name, there are no continuous forest<\/a>s here, and the gentle slopes of the Alpine mountains are covered with grassy vegetation. It can be said that it was Gmeiner who came up with the concept of creating family-type orphanages, which Gmeiner originally called SOS-Children's Villages.<\/p>\n
