Hand luggage is conside<\/a>red to be those things that passengers take with them to the cabin during air travel<\/a>, and are not sent to the luggage compart<\/a>ment. According to the established rules, this is one sea<\/a>t in economy class, two in first and bus<\/a>iness class. Some airlines often make exceptions, which are announced in advance. Let's take a closer look at what you can carry in hand luggage, and what you have to check in your luggage or leave at home.<\/p>\n

Permissible weight<\/h2>\n

One piece of hand luggage is considered to be car<\/a>go, the three dimensions of which are equal to 115cm in total. Its weight should not exceed the norms established by experts depending on the route<\/a> and type of aircraft… Different air carriers have their own standards, here are some of them:<\/p>\n

In excess of these norms, it is allowed to take with you outerwear, press, or other printed materials for reading in flight, an umbrella, if necessary – a blanket, also a cane, crutches. If you are travel<\/a>ing with a small child, you are allowed to carry a stroller weighing up to 10 kg, or a carrycot. Also a laptop, phone, tablet, camera and accessories for them: a tripod, or a selfie stick, but only if their size is not more than 60cm.<\/p>\n

Liquids<\/h2>\n

There are special requirements for transport<\/a>ed liquids:<\/p>\n

Medicines and instruments (needles for injections, droppers, etc.) must be accompanied by a prescription and a certificate from a doctor. Baby food, certainly in plastic containers, will also be subjected to a thorough check by the security<\/a> control service.<\/p>\n

What can be put in a cosmetic bag<\/h2>\n

In women's cosmetic bags before the flight, you should definitely conduct an audit. A nail file, manicure tweezers, preferably with rounded edges, should not exceed 60mm in length (this also applies to penknives). All creams, gels, cleansers, etc. move into the liquid bag. If your favorite perfume bottle is larger than the above, either the perfume or the bottle needs to be replaced.<\/p>\n

Food and drink<\/h2>\n

Many people have a question about food and drink during the flight. It is far from always free in flight, sometimes the quality of this food does not satisfy the tastes and desires of demanding gourmets, especially since the duration of flights is completely different.<\/p>\n

Water, in most cases, can be filled in a pre-prepared plastic bottle in the dispenser immediately before boarding the aircraft after check-in (unfortunately, this is sometimes not possible), or directly from the stewards on the aircraft itself. There are no such strict requirements for food. You can take not only cookies and chocolate with you on board. It is desirable that the products do not have a strong odor and are not gas-forming.<\/p>\n

Fruits<\/a>, nuts, sandwiches with chicken, cheese, beef, salads in airtight containers are good for satisfying hunger in flight…. Do not forget that yoghurts, jams, sauces are liquids that must be in a special bag at check-in. In any case, napkins and a garbage bag will also be quite useful.<\/p>\n

Goods from Duty Free<\/h2>\n

For goods purchased in Duty Free, there are separate rules. They must be packed and sea<\/a>led before the flight in the store itself. During connecting flights<\/a>, when passing control, if the seals are in place, checks are present, there should be no problems. But don't really count on it. It all depends on the security personnel. It is better to skimp before the final point of arrival.<\/p>\n
