It takes a few moments to fall in love with Paris, but a lifetime is not enough to get to know this city<\/a>. But still, there are sights<\/a> that are impossible not to visit, having stayed in the capital of France<\/a> even for just one day. The duration of an independent route<\/a> in Paris<\/a> is seven kilometers. The starting point is Notre Dame de Paris and the final destination is the Eiffel Tower<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Notre Dame de Paris (Notre Dame Cathedral<\/a>)<\/h2>\n

This building strikes the imagination with its monumentality, which is very harmoniously combined with the elegance of forms. This effect is explained by the fact that the architecture contains both a massive Romanesque and airy Gothic style. Inside<\/a> the room, organ music is played almost constantly. And if you are lucky to visit the cathedral on Sunday, you can hear the sound of a six-ton \u200b\u200bbell. In the center<\/a> of the hall there are wooden benches where tired visitors rest<\/a>, looking around and admiring the play of sunlight passing through the stained-glass windows.<\/p>\n

The cathedral has a gallery of kings, in the niches of which there are stone statue<\/a>s of the rulers of France and other famous people. Among them is the young maiden Joan of Arc, who changed the course of the Hundred Years War between England and France. If you climb the north<\/a> tower, passing 387 steps, you will find yourself in the gallery of Chimeras, which, according to legend, come to life at night and protect the cathedral from intruders. But the most important attraction of Notre Dame de Paris is the Crown of Thorns, which was worn by Jesus Christ on the day of his execution, as well as the nail removed from the cross after the crucifixion.<\/p>\n

The area<\/a> in front of the entrance to this temple<\/a> of knowledge is constantly filled with students sitting at cafe tables, on curbs, parapets and right on the lawns. In the nearby student quarter, called Latin, since earlier education was conducted in this language, you can have a very cheap meal in one of the many small restaurants or buy delicious pastries in street tents.<\/p>\n

This garden is no less famous than the Arc de Triomphe or the Eiffel Tower<\/a>. There are always a lot of people here. In the center<\/a> of the garden is the Luxembourg Palace, near which there is a swimming pool surrounded by statues of the former kings of France.<\/p>\n

At the very “feet” of the Eiffel Tower<\/a> begins a huge park, covering an area of \u200b\u200b25 hectares, called the Champ de Mars. Despite such a solid size, it is cozy and beautiful here thanks to the abundance of green manicured lawns, wide alleys and small paths for joggers. A democratic atmosphere reigns here, since everyone can choose a vacation<\/a> to their liking. For example, lie down on the lawn, have a picnic, play outdoor games with children<\/a> or friends, list<\/a>en to music that often sounds here from the music arena, and so on. On the territory of the Champ de Mars, the Peace Wall is installed, which is an installation made of glass with the image of the word “Peace”, translated into numerous languages.<\/p>\n

Even those who have never been to Paris know about this tower. Built in 1889 for the opening of the World<\/a> Exhibition, it later became a symbol of the city. A radio station, a television antenna and a meteorological laboratory were installed at the top of the tower.
