If country barbecues for May are not enough for you, then go on a trip. It makes sense to start planning it now. At a minimum, register for a visa<\/a> if you have not already done so. Although visa-free options will also be on my list – don\u2019t worry.<\/p>\n

Turkey<\/a>\u200b<\/h2>\n

You can book air tickets<\/a> there yourself or go on a mini-vacation with a tour. Turkey<\/a> is an excellent option with a favorable ratio of price<\/a> and quality of relaxation and comfort. Although the sea warms up only to 19-20 degrees in early May, many tourists enjoy swimming and enjoying the daily sea promenade. The scorching sun shines in the middle of the day, the ideal time for tanning, just don't forget about a good SPF cream.<\/p>\n

This is already an ideal option for sea sailing during the May holidays. The air is heated to +35 degrees, and the water to +25. You can\u2019t think of a better time; it\u2019s more convenient to take a week-long package tour. May is also a great time for diving: visibility is excellent and the water temperature is comfortable. You either don\u2019t need a visa, or they\u2019ll give you one upon arrival for $25, it all depends on the resort you choose.<\/p>\n

Maldives<\/a><\/h2>\n

The paradise Maldives<\/a> in May is a transition period between the country's dry season and the wet season. But the azure warm water is still fresh 30-degree milk, and the sun is hot. But there may be showers at night, leaving noticeable humidity during the day. The cost of tours may be slightly lower. Holidays in the Maldives<\/a> mean maximum relaxation. Complete unity with almost ideal nature, silence and hypnotizing turquoise water.<\/p>\n

You can lie in hammocks, read, meditate, walk around the island, look at exotic birds and animals at a distance of an extended river. A trip to colorful Amsterdam alone is a great option for May. But only if you have a Schengen visa. The capital of the Netherlands is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Architecture<\/a> – crane your neck while you look at everything, canals that are not inferior to the Venetian ones, a variety of activities and exhibitions, tulips all around. Don't go for a walk. And also non-stop cycling and canal cruises .<\/a><\/p>\n

20 kilometers from the capital is the picturesque authentic village of Zaanse Schans. There you can try farmer's cheese, see how traditional wooden shoes are made, visit the inside of a mill, and go to the chocolate and cookie museum<\/a>.<\/p>\n

If you are in the Netherlands before May 12, you will have time to stop by the largest flower park in Europe<\/a> – Keukenhof. It is incredibly beautiful and fragrant: dozens of unique varieties of tulips, daffodils and other flowers. I don\u2019t suggest you swim in the North Sea, but go to the coast, for example<\/a>, to The Hague – why not. The sea, even without swimming, is pleasing to the eye.<\/p>\n

Spain<\/a><\/h2>\n

If you have a visa, you can go to Barcelona for a few days. Enjoy the architecture, rich culture and Spanish cuisine. The holiday season begins in the country in May. It\u2019s still cold to swim, the water is no more than 18 degrees, but you can get a good tan on the beach. If you want to change views, then in the vicinity of the city there are also many attractions<\/a>, including ancient mountain monasteries<\/a>. Or why not go to Madrid<\/a> for football?<\/p>\n

Italy<\/a><\/h2>\n

You can wander around the “Eternal City” of Rome for weeks alone, so if you miss pasta, pizza and different types of gelato, arrange a “Roman Holiday”<\/a> for yourself. On the beaches of Italy, the holiday season also begins in May, although swimming is still a little cold.<\/p>\n

But the country is so multifaceted and rich in attractions<\/a> that it is impossible to get bored there: seas, mountains, vineyards, ancient cities, fashionable houses, rich history<\/a> and delicious cuisine. Italy is a win-win option for traveling for any reason for any length of time. Need a visa. On the market you can find many bus tours for the May holidays with the opening of an Italian visa for the trip.<\/p>\n

Hungary<\/h2>\n

The country is undeservedly deprived of attention, in my opinion, although its capital is often called the ” Paris<\/a> of the East “. The rich architecture of Budapest<\/a>, the Danube and the exquisite bridges over it, the Sz\u00e9chenyi Bath will make you fall in love with it from the first minutes in the city. There are also many interesting and beautiful things outside the capital. You can get a visa for the tour and travel to several cities. Therefore, I recommend taking a closer look at the Hungarian direction.<\/p>\n

I continue the topic of tours. If you have a visa, then in May there are many options to go on a cruise to the capitals of the Scandinavian countries, sometimes even visiting stunningly beautiful fjords. Spring is the ideal time to get to know them. And in Stockholm or Oslo<\/a> in May you can see a lot of cherry blossoms<\/a> – an unforgettable sight.<\/p>\n

Spending the night in a cabin is much more convenient than sleeping on a bus<\/a> seat, so you don\u2019t have to worry about comfort. In the evenings there is an entertainment program on the ship, live music, performances, and in the morning you can see a charming sunrise over the sea – a romance of<\/a> tea. A cruise is a great option to see several expensive countries and save a lot of money. If you went to each capital separately, you would spend much more. I recommend everyone to try a cruise vacation<\/a> at least once. In May it is not as hot as in summer, but it is already sunny and comfortable, even for a beach holiday.
