If you start asking people on the street what Georgia<\/a> is famous for, the majority will answer: wine and churchkhela. And these are, of course, popular goods and souvenirs<\/a>, but they are not the only ones worth bringing from Sakartvelo. Pilgrimos has compiled a list of items for going to the store.<\/p>\n

Of course, this will be the first position on our list. If you have hand luggage, then the choice will be limited to the assortment in the “dutik”. But if you have luggage, then you can safely choose decent wine right in the country. There are plenty of wine boutiques here.<\/p>\n

Give preference not to factory products, but to goods from private wineries. You will feel the difference after the first sips. However, remember that you can only bring three liters of alcohol into the country. We'll give you a hint – these are four standard bottles of 0.75 each.<\/p>\n

Pastila is on the same list. It is almost always sold next to churchkhela. Pastila is a kind of pita bread only with a fruity taste. In essence, it is fruit or berry puree dried in the sun. By the way, it is called tklapi.<\/p>\n

You can also pay attention to the universal seasoning, suneli hops and others. Be sure to grab barberry. All seasonings can be found in Georgia at an affordable price and are sold by the glass. The best place to buy is at the market. Both cheaper and better quality. True, I have to warn you. The seasonings are very aromatic. So try to put them in a container that is odor-proof. Otherwise, all your clothes<\/a> will smell of spices.<\/p>\n

At this point, I recommend paying attention to products made from cloisonne enamel – minankari. Such jewelry looks authentic, and you can pick it up at a reasonable price.
