In the South Pacific Ocean, surrounded by coral reefs and small islands, Bora Bora<\/a> rises. This island of French Polynesia attracts those who are not ready to deny themselves anything. Azure waters with soft waves and long-legged bungalows hint at paradise on Earth.<\/p>\n

We have already talked<\/a> about how in Bora Bora<\/a> you can swim with sharks, climb Mount Otemanu and Pahia, lie on the wild Matira Beach and look at cuties with shells at the Turtle Center. But what else is there to see and do in Bora Bora?<\/p>\n

Observation deck of the TV tower<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Turning off the road between the popular Bora Bora restaurants “Bloody Mary” and “Bamboo House”, you can get to the TV tower. From the observation deck at the peak of the tower, the island and the turquoise waters washing it are clearly visible.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Temple of Saint-Pierre-Celestine\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

On Bora Bora there are quite a few ruins of “marae” (cleared of weeds) – traditional temples of the first settlers, built with a pyramid of stones and decorated with carvings. One such monument of Polynesian architecture is the Tainapa marae. It is located on a hillside in the northern part of Poovai Bay. However, to get inside the sanctuary, visitors will have to work hard – finding the entrance is not an easy task.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Marae Fare-Opu<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Fare-Opu structure seems to be sandwiched between the road and the water. Petroglyphs<\/a> of turtles are carved on the well-preserved coral slabs of the temple, which are often found in other places on the island. And this is not without reason. Coastal defense guns<\/h3>\n
