The program is also well thought out and easy to use.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.komoot.com\/pt-br\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"external external_icon\">I couldn\u2019t find out how many tracks Komoot<\/a> has in Portugal, but I like this service the most. When choosing a starting location, he offers <a href=\"https:\/\/tourism.com.de\/en\/how-to-get-to-abkhazia-by-plane-train-bus-car\/\" title=\"routes\">routes<\/a> of varying lengths and difficulty levels.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.portuguesetrails.com\/pt-pt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"external external_icon\">Portugaltrails.com<\/a> is a website created by Portugal Tourism. It contains tracks for walking and cycling in all regions of the country. I didn\u2019t find the site particularly convenient, but some useful things can be found there, for <a href=\"https:\/\/tourism.com.de\/en\/rome-10-reasons-to-visit-the-eternal-city\/\" title=\"example\">example<\/a>, walks along routes with <a href=\"https:\/\/tourism.com.de\/en\/25-best-excursions-from-budva-in-montenegro-cheap-with-a-guide\/\" title=\"guides\">guides<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/natural.pt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"external external_icon\">Natural.PT<\/a> &#8211; This national service tells about the protected areas <a href=\"https:\/\/tourism.com.de\/en\/top-15-souvenirs-from-buenos-aires\/\" title=\"of mainland\">of mainland<\/a> Portugal. On it you can not only find interesting routes, but also get information about nature and attractions <a href=\"https:\/\/tourism.com.de\/en\/pantheon-in-rome-history-photo-description-opening-hours-prices-2021-interesting-facts-map\/\" title=\",\">,<\/a> infrastructure and local traditions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Detailed information about routes is also available on municipal websites.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Which tracks are worth paying attention to?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><strong>Paiva Walkways<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>This route features the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in Portugal.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tourism.com.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/post-180903-661b0e6b1aedf.avif\" data-rel=\"lightbox\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"SDStudio-light-box-enable SDStudio-editor-tools-md-imp\" src=\"https:\/\/tourism.com.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/post-180903-661b0e6b1aedf.avif\" alt=\"Hiking in Portugal: routes and infrastructure\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It is important to know: to get to the &#8220;516 Arouca&#8221; bridge, you need to <a href=\"https:\/\/tourism.com.de\/recomendet-tiqets_com-product\">buy tickets<\/a> in advance on <a href=\"https:\/\/516arouca.pt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"external external_icon\">the website<\/a>. Be sure to do this. Because the walk along the swaying metal structure 175 meters above the ground is worth it. It starts in the village of Samod\u00e3es, which is located near the city of Lamego. And it leads along paths past farms, through <a href=\"https:\/\/tourism.com.de\/en\/honeymoon-in-germany-route-for-lovers\/\" title=\"vineyards\">vineyards<\/a> and along the riverbank. The circular <a href=\"https:\/\/pt.wikiloc.com\/trilhas-trekking\/pr2-trilho-vinho-do-porto-lamego-16462053\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"external external_icon\">route<\/a> is approximately 8 km long.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tourism.com.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/post-180903-661b0e6cc98da.avif\" data-rel=\"lightbox\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"SDStudio-light-box-enable SDStudio-editor-tools-md-imp\" src=\"https:\/\/tourism.com.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/post-180903-661b0e6cc98da.avif\" alt=\"Hiking in Portugal: routes and infrastructure\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>&#8220;Slate villages of Louza&#8221;<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>These ancient stone villages are surrounded by dense forests. The landscapes here are so green &#8211; so similar to the Azores.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tourism.com.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/post-180903-661b0e6d30693.avif\" data-rel=\"lightbox\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"SDStudio-light-box-enable SDStudio-editor-tools-md-imp\" src=\"https:\/\/tourism.com.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/post-180903-661b0e6d30693.avif\" alt=\"Hiking in Portugal: routes and infrastructure\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There are about 50 hiking and 10 cycling trails along Mount Lousa, as well as tracks for climbers and canoeists. You can find out more about them on your local <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aldeiasdoxisto.pt\/pt\/aldeias\/lousa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"external external_icon\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I recommend a walk between the villages of Comareira, Aigra Nova, Aigra Velha and Pena. Here is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/d\/viewer?mid%3D1yfcQD4asWnmNK2CDvH94IuUJn3kHiIM%26ll%3D40.12397078767608,-8.148105312194826%26z%3D14\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"external external_icon\">a link<\/a> to their locations. In the villages themselves there are signs that will lead you to the right paths and prevent you from getting lost.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tourism.com.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/post-180903-661b0e6d9551f.avif\" data-rel=\"lightbox\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"SDStudio-light-box-enable SDStudio-editor-tools-md-imp\" src=\"https:\/\/tourism.com.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/post-180903-661b0e6d9551f.avif\" alt=\"Hiking in Portugal: routes and infrastructure\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I didn\u2019t see any cafes in these tiny settlements, but there were hotels. Living in such silence and beauty is a fairy tale.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><strong>&#8220;The Hobbit Road&#8221;<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>This trek is located on Mount Hazor. He eats <a href=\"https:\/\/tourism.com.de\/en\/poeff-dark-nights-guide-to-the-film-festival-in-estonia\/\" title=\"the tart\">the tart<\/a> in the authentic village of Pi\u00f3d\u00e3o, which in itself deserves your careful exploration. See the slate houses, stroll along the cobbled streets, go down to the river basin, and taste local infusions. Although it is better to do the latter upon return &#8211; the track, by the way, is a circular one.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tourism.com.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/post-180903-661b0e6e0d1f7.avif\" data-rel=\"lightbox\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"SDStudio-light-box-enable SDStudio-editor-tools-md-imp\" src=\"https:\/\/tourism.com.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/post-180903-661b0e6e0d1f7.avif\" alt=\"Hiking in Portugal: routes and infrastructure\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Forest trails along <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alltrails.com\/trail\/portugal\/coimbra\/pr2-agn-piodao-foz-d-egua\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"external external_icon\">the route<\/a> lead to the beautiful beach of Foz d'\u00e9gua. Once at the river, it is worth climbing the steps to the suspension bridge, and then even higher to the shale sanctuary. There is a magnificent view from there.<\/p>\n<p>The length of the trek is 6 km, but with a walk through the villages it will, of course, be longer.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tourism.com.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/post-180903-661b0e6e76179.avif\" data-rel=\"lightbox\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"SDStudio-light-box-enable SDStudio-editor-tools-md-imp\" src=\"https:\/\/tourism.com.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/post-180903-661b0e6e76179.avif\" alt=\"Hiking in Portugal: routes and infrastructure\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>&#8220;The bays of Porto Covo&#8221;<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>I wanted to add a track along the shores of the Atlantic to the mountain routes. Each bay of Porto Covo is special and incredibly beautiful. Walking along the ocean, leisurely exploring <a href=\"https:\/\/tourism.com.de\/en\/north-or-south-goa-where-is-the-best-place-to-relax-in-2021\/\" title=\"the beaches\">the beaches<\/a>, is an ideal pastime.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tourism.com.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/post-180903-661b0e6ee2b7a.avif\" data-rel=\"lightbox\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"SDStudio-light-box-enable SDStudio-editor-tools-md-imp\" src=\"https:\/\/tourism.com.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/post-180903-661b0e6ee2b7a.avif\" alt=\"Hiking in Portugal: routes and infrastructure\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Several routes are marked on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.komoot.com\/pt-br\/discover\/Bucht_bei_Porto_Covo\/@37.8415510,-8.7920350\/tours?map%3Dtrue%26max_distance%3D30000%26sport%3Dhike%26startLocation%3D%26toursThroughHighlight%3D4390778\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"external external_icon\">the map<\/a>, ranging in length from 7 to 20 km. The tracks follow paths along rocky cliffs.
