These locations were the first guests of many states to arrive at the port. It is not surprising that many of them are impeccably beautiful – in order to show the country from the start. So, we have collected a dozen cities that still welcome sea travelers and delight them with their beauty.<\/p>\n

Corfu, Greece<\/a><\/h2>\n

In its heyday, Venice<\/a> was a maritime power with a strong grip on the Adriatic. The approach to Corfu past the tawny Albanian mountains offers magnificent views of the huge Venetian fortress. The tall, narrow houses of the old town are also distinctly Venetian, although the elegant Esplanade is built on a Parisian<\/a> model. An hour's walk will take you to Kanoni Bay, where two snow-white island monasteries stand out beautifully against the inky blue water.<\/p>\n

The bay of Turkey's coolest resort is painted cobalt blue. And luxury yachts sail in the harbor. During the day, stroll along the narrow white streets or relax on the seashore. And be sure to visit the Crusader Castle of St. Peter<\/a> with its museum of underwater archeology. There they collected a huge collection of shipwreck artifacts. The peninsula with sandy bays, tangerine orchards and olive groves is simply magnificent.<\/p>\n

This is the most glamorous port in the Mediterranean. There you will feel like a billionaire on a private yacht. The sun-drenched city has small parks and a famous and incredibly ornate casino<\/a>. In this principality, it is worth walking along the narrow paths to see the palace, cathedral and other attractions<\/a>. By the way, some cruises<\/a> are timed to coincide with the May Monaco Grand Prix.<\/p>\n

Rovinj is the main attraction of Istria<\/a> in the northwestern corner of Croatia. In the evenings, visitors to the city enjoy cocktails on the waterfront before heading to the nightclubs<\/a>. Those not drawn to such things can visit the magnificent first-century Roman amphitheater in nearby Pula.<\/p>\n
