There are an endless number of places in the world that are attractive to tourists<\/a> and travelers. However, not all of them are safe. If you are adventurous, have enough experience and, of course, courage, the world can offer you some exciting hiking routes<\/a>. They are not easy and very dangerous, but if you still decide to take such a trip, the impressions will definitely stay with you for the rest of your life.<\/p>\n

Hua Shan, China<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Mount Hua, or Hua Shan (“Magnificent Mountain”), as the Chinese themselves call it, is the westernmost of the Five Great Mountains and consists of five peaks. The highest of them is the southern peak, whose height reaches 2,154 meters. Together, all five peaks form the shape of a flower, which is why they are often mentioned in Chinese folklore. Taoist temples are also located here, and therefore it is not surprising that Hua Shan attracts not only tourists, but also pilgrims.<\/p>\n

Due to the religious significance of the mountain and its surroundings, monks have lived here for centuries. They paved the paths leading to all five peaks. The hanging trail to Mount Hua is considered one of the most dangerous, not only in China, but throughout the world. It\u2019s not for nothing that it was called the “plank path” – tourists will have to walk along planks attached to a rather steep slope.<\/p>\n

Over time, the far from safest path was reinforced with handrails, and for good reason – the number of tourists dreaming of enjoying the local landscapes has increased<\/a>. Lovers of beauty have been joined by those who want to get a considerable dose of adrenaline, because despite all these improvements, hiking up the mountain remains extremely dangerous. There are no official statistics, but it is rumored that the “Magnificent Mountain” claims more than 100 lives every year.<\/p>\n

Via Ferrata, Italy<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Via Ferrata is translated from Italian as “iron path” or “steel path” and is a type of sports tourism. Its essence lies in the fact that life-threatening routes<\/a> are proposed to be overcome with the help of additional elements such as belays, hooks and cables. There are many Via Ferrata popular among extreme sports enthusiasts in the world, which attract the attention of true connoisseurs with their thrills.<\/p>\n

So, you can test your courage and endurance on one of these routes in the Dolomites. There are more than 600 such trails of varying difficulty. Once upon a time they were used by soldiers of the First World War, but now “iron tracks” are available to everyone from 8 to 80 years old. The shortest of them do not exceed 190 meters, while the longest ones are more than 1.2 km long.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Aonach Eagach, Scotland<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n

The name of the ridge is translated from Gaelic as “Jagged Ridge” and is the narrowest mountain range on mainland<\/a> Great Britain, its beauty breathtaking even for avid travelers. The rocks, steep slopes and weather conditions are not only amazing, but also make this route one of the most difficult in the whole world.<\/p>\n

The difficult and exposed climb requires climbing experience and physical fitness. It is the ridge that becomes the main cause of problems for tourists. Many of them even try to leave the route before starting the climb to the top of the Sgorr Nam Fiannaidh peak, which is about 1000 meters high. Naturally, not everyone succeeds in this.<\/p>\n

Every year thousands of tourists try to conquer the Aonach Eagach ridge, and some of them tragically die. We warn you: if you decide to try it, make sure you have the necessary skills, experience, and dry weather (so as not to slip on wet stones). Also, allocate enough of your own strength and time for preliminary preparation for the ascent.<\/p>\n

The results will not keep you waiting. From the nearly 10-kilometer Jagged Ridge Trail, everyone can enjoy spectacular views of the snow-capped mountain peaks – the hallmark of Scotland's picturesque landscapes.<\/p>\n

Then in 2015 they decided to reconstruct the route. The old boards were replaced with new ones, and safety nets and wire barriers were added. Despite all the measures taken, the trail is still considered one of the creepiest and most dangerous in the world. Not everyone dares to walk along it.<\/p>\n

The Sasquatch Trail is one of the most difficult trekking<\/a> routes in the Himalayas. For many years, it has been kept in working order by local residents. The trail is the only supply line to nearby settlements.<\/p>\n
