New Orleans has many creepy sights<\/a>. You definitely won\u2019t find at least another city with so many mythical cemeteries. But the Dungeon bar definitely stands out. The place feels like a literal dungeon, where visitors walk through a barred gate and into a dimly lit room with skulls, shackles, stuffed animals, caskets and a caged mannequin. This place is just for those who are not sure if they have already crossed over to the dark side.<\/p>\n Memphis is no stranger to the occult. For example<\/a>, it has one of the most unique haunted bars. A historic tavern with live music that originally opened as a drug store in the 1930s. Tina Turner, Ray Charles and Chuck Berry visited Earnestine and Hazel's after performing at nearby Club Paradise. The jukebox in this bar starts on its own. People also often mentioned that they heard someone playing the piano. There are also stories about 13 ghosts inhabiting the bar. And if that's not enough, bones were found in its walls during renovations in 2019.<\/p>\n Standing at the front door of a bar in Richmond's Church Hill area, you can see the cemetery surrounding St. John's Church. It was there that Patrick Henry made his famous “Give me liberty or give me death” speech. But that's not the only creepy thing. A former brothel and speakeasy, the pub is one of the most haunted in the city. Make yourself comfortable at the bar, but keep in mind that you may not even see the person sitting next to you.<\/p>\n Portland is a city where a jug-shaped building can house a pirate-themed strip club, and it wouldn't be surprising to find a haunted manor-themed bar. Raven's Manor tells the story<\/a> of a mad doctor who throws lavish parties<\/a> and conducts dubious experiments<\/a> in search of the elixir of immortality. Inside the elaborately decorated sanctuary, including laboratory, you can sip an eye martini or a steaming green concoction in an Erlenmeyer flask. You can also try Dr. Raven\u2019s elixir here.<\/p>\n For those looking for cinematic horror and dark mixology, House of Wax at Brooklyn's Alamo Drafthouse has just that to offer. It's a cross between Madame Tussauds and M\u00fctter, but with alcohol. The House of Wax is filled with countless specimens, including death masks<\/a> and anatomical models. Initially, back in the 1920s, the collection belonged to the Berlin<\/a> Museum. Now you can see it here.<\/p>\n Muriel's Session Room in New Orleans is a great bar choice. But their seance room looks creepy. It is decorated with red curtains, lights and sarcophagi, art deco lamps and spooky paintings. It's an aesthetic experience of old-school spiritualism with a ghostly quality to match. Rumor has it that the former owner of the property is still turning up. And every evening at the foot of the stairs leading to Muriel, the restaurant sets a table for its permanent guest spirit.<\/p>\n There's nothing particularly magical about Orange County, California, home to Disneyland and year-round sunshine. But oddly enough, that's where The Cauldron is located, a witch-themed bar where labor and trouble are on the menu. The bar is decorated with antique furniture, skulls and, of course, a boiling cauldron. Its cocktail menu features signature drinks such as the Wizard's Cup and Chthulu's Revenge.
