Despite the fact that the season at this resort lasts from October to May, as they say, it is never too late to study the issue in advance.

The northern beaches of Goa are located in a single 16-kilometer coastline. One of them is Arambol, the center of youth gatherings. A huge number of creative people usually have fun here, and local bars host wild parties every evening. During the day on the beach you can do yoga and learn kitesurfing from.

Vagator is the most secluded beach. Lovers of outdoor recreation usually come here for meditation and for complete immersion in relaxation and solitude.

Anjunu is the center of club parties. Previously, there was explosive music here – Goa trance, and in the 70s there was an LSD market and trance parties were held for an audience of thousands. Now all this, of course, is prohibited. Lovers of “euphoric” music can only rock out in small clubs and bars.

What is a must-do in North Goa?

Get on a board or learn how to kite surf. There is no surfing as a water sport in Goa due to low waves. But for a beginner who is getting on a board for the first time, there is no better place to catch a wave and learn kitesurfing. Stable winds come to Arambol and Morjim in February-March, and January weather is perfect for those just learning to kite.

See sunset on Arambol. Sunsets everywhere in India are amazing, but Arambol is truly a sight to behold! There are certain places with a large concentration of vacationers. As soon as it begins to get dark, the beach is filled with people and the streets are empty. Here it is easy to meet visiting musicians, fortune tellers, acrobats and astrologers from all over the world.

Visit the market in Anjuna. From morning to evening on Wednesdays, the largest market in Goa is held here. There you can find a variety of shopping choices from Indian clothes to interior items. The prices are steep, and the quality leaves much to be desired, but a trip there is definitely worth it.

South Goa is considered to be a place for a relaxing, luxurious holiday. Married couples, elderly people and lovers of classical tourism come here.

Majorda is one of the family resorts. Parents with small children relax here. The older generation will appreciate the comfort in local hotels and the small number of visitors nearby.

Agonda, Palolem and Patnem are quiet and peaceful beaches in the very south of Goa. Here even the discos are “silent” and there is no club life. Cavelossim and Mobor are beaches for tourists from Europe who love to stay in expensive hotels. Excellent resorts for those who prefer first-class service.

What is a must-do in southern Goa?

Visit a “silent” disco in Palolem. The famous “quiet” dance evenings are most often held there. They differ from typical parties in that they take place almost silently. You receive headphones at the entrance, choose music and rock out!

Watch olive turtles. Once upon a time, the beaches of Goa were dominated by olive turtles. But after the raids of tourists, there are only a couple of places left for them to stay, Agonda is one of them. Therefore, night entertainment is prohibited here, as well as bright electric lights, so as not to distract the turtles from the mating season.

Take a ride through local nature reserves. South Goa is home to the largest protected area – Bhagwan Mahavir. This is a huge area inhabited by elephants, tigers, leopards, birds and many reptiles. Apart from the animals, there is also the Duhsagar waterfall. Its waters fall with a roar from a 300-meter height, forming splashes and sweeping away everything in its path.

My personal recommendation is to visit Panaju, the capital of Goa. There, the heart of the city is the church square, where the Portuguese Church of the Immaculate Conception of Our Lady, founded in 1541, is located.

Other popular places in the capital are, for example , the busy thoroughfare in the city center and the shopping area for tourists and locals, Mala Square, Miramar Beach and Cala Accademia. The latter is a cultural venue that hosts exhibitions in Goa.

Also 55 kilometers from Panaji is the Bandla Zoo. It is visited by lovers of walking and couples with children. For their leisure time there is a playground or a mini-train ride. In the “wild” part of the reserve you can see a leopard or an elephant, and also touch the ruins of an ancient temple built hundreds of years ago.

India is colorful, original, delightful. North or South Goa is a must do for every tourist at any age. After all, everyone, without exception, will be able to find entertainment and a good rest to their taste. And there will definitely be something to remember and something to tell your loved ones about.

Discover the multifaceted Goa!
