While the coast can be sweltering, the mountains are often pleasantly cool; and when the sea begins to cool down, the thermal springs of central Turkey become particularly appealing. In each season, traveling in Turkey can bring a lot of positive emotions, as long as you choose the right location.

Turkey should not be perceived exclusively as an “all-inclusive hotel” or beaches on the Mediterranean coast. Winter in Turkey opens up completely different opportunities for recreation, from ski resorts to thermal spas. Uludag, located near Bursa, is Turkey's most popular ski resort with modern lifts and slopes of varying difficulty. Palandoken near Erzurum is famous for its snow quality and longer season (from November to April). Erciyes in Cappadocia offers a unique opportunity to combine skiing with visiting the famous rock formations. In cold weather, it is especially pleasant to immerse yourself in the hot mineral springs that Turkey is so rich in. You can visit Pamukkale and swim in the thermal pools among the snow-white travertine terraces.

Spring (April-May) is the ideal time to visit Turkey's inland regions. Cappadocia is transformed and literally blossoms: the valleys are covered with blooming poppies and tulips, creating a stunning contrast with the bizarre rock formations. This is the best time for hot air balloon flights, as the weather is usually calm, and at dawn, incredible views of the blooming valleys open up. During this period, it is worth exploring the underground cities of Derinkuyu and Kaymakli, visiting the open-air museum in Goreme with its ancient churches carved into the rocks, and strolling through the valleys of Pigeons, Love, or Rose Valley.

Antalya and its surroundings are the perfect summer destination. The resorts of Belek, Side, and Kemer offer a huge selection of all-inclusive hotels, making your vacation carefree and comfortable. The famous Cleopatra Beach in Alanya, with its fine sand and crystal clear water, is considered one of the best in the country and consistently attracts tourists from all over the world. Thanks to the developed infrastructure of resort towns, real estate in Turkey https://myestateinvest.com/en/turkey/ is becoming more popular for permanent residence every year.

Autumn (September-October) is the second high season in Turkey, especially on the coast. The sea is still warm (24-26°C), and the daytime heat has already dropped to a comfortable 25-28°C. The “velvet season” is a great time for a more relaxed beach holiday. In Antalya, Kemer, or Fethiye, you can enjoy the sea and sun without the summer heat. It is also an ideal time for active recreation: hiking along the Lycian Way, rafting on the Köprülü River, and yachting along the coast.

Turkey is an amazing country where the diversity of landscapes and climatic zones creates ample opportunities for travel at any time of the year.
