A new ski resort has opened for tourists in Georgia. It is located in the mountainous region of Svaneti, which is a few kilometers from Mestia. The resort was opened at an altitude of 2.2 thousand meters above sea level and was named Tetnuldi. According to Prime Minister G. Kvirikashvili, it is Tetnuldi who can easily claim the title of the best resort in Georgia and in all of Eastern Europe.
The creators of the resort do not intend to stop there. A cable car will be laid from the neighboring village of Mulakhi to Tetnuldi. And for those who are used to traveling by car, the possibility of creating a highway that will connect the resort with Kutaisi airport is being considered. The car will allow you to overcome a considerable distance in just a couple of hours. To make the resort more popular among foreign tourists, it is planned to create a serious infrastructure – several hotels and restaurants will be built.
The Georgian authorities are ready to invest millions of dollars in the development of Tetnuldi. More than 40 million have already been spent today. The main advantage of the resort is that it is able to receive guests all year round, and is designed for the simultaneous presence of almost 7 thousand tourists. It will be possible to go skiing for 6-7 months in a row.
