🎅 Night at Santa Claus’s house: a unique Airbnb offer
This winter, Christmas and New Year lovers will have the unique opportunity to stay in Santa's hut for free in Lapland. In return, you will be asked to help at the official post office of the village.
For one day, village guests will become full-fledged elves. They will take part in festive fun. For example , you will have to disassemble mailboxes and put a special Arctic Circle stamp on the letters. After work, Santa's temporary helpers enjoy Finnish food, snowmobiling, a trip to the Northern Lights and a traditional sauna.
An exclusive opportunity to book Santa's Cabin for free will be available Monday – December 11th at 1pm at airbnb.com/santa. And the stay is planned for three nights from December 18 to 21, 2023. According to the conditions, two adults and two children can move in.
Guests enjoy free return flights to Rovaniemi from London Heathrow Airport with Finnair, plus breakfast and dinner in the hut. It is located near the post office. The guest room is decorated with traditional Lappish elements. Inside there are items of elven clothing and accessories.
There are several rules for guests:
- Warn Santa in advance if you want to take a photo with him.
- Take off your shoes inside the hut – there are handmade Lapland rugs on the floor.
- Adhere to the festive elven style of clothing. A felt hat with a jingling bell paired with a tunic is welcome.
The opportunity to stay in Santa Claus Village for free is part of a charity event. As part of this, Airbnb will make a one-time donation to Special Children's Omaiset ELO. This association supports Lapland youth with special needs, as well as their loved ones.
The guest booking must be over 18 years of age and have a verified profile with a large number of positive reviews. For those who do not have time to reserve the Santa Claus Hut, Airbnb has prepared a useful update. A new category ” Arctic ” will appear on the website. Using this filter you can easily find igloos, houses and other accommodation options in the Arctic Circle.
