Ras Al Khaimah: Relax in a Luxurious Oasis!
Ras al-Khaimah translated from Arabic means “the top of the tent.” It is the northernmost of the 7 emirates and is about an hour's drive from Dubai. Stretched along the Persian Gulf to the border with Oman, passing along the mountain range. At the entrance to the emirate of Ras al-Khaimah, palm groves with vast reservoirs, clear sea and the splendor of the Hajar mountains open up.
The temperature here is three to four degrees lower than in neighboring emirates, the water and air are cleaner, and there is more greenery than in any other emirate, so Ras al-Khaimah is considered the local “riviera”.
What to see
Julfar is a pearl trading center founded about 7000 years ago. According to legend, the Queen of Sheba stayed in the ancient city during her trip to King Solomon. The ruins of the palace of ruler Julfar are now named after the queen.

Horseback riding is a traditional pastime of the people of Ras al-Khaimah and the favorite among its guests. At the Al Wadi Equestrian Center, beginners will be taught horseback riding, and for experienced riders, horseback riding along the beach or the desert is organized.
Hiking: The Hajar Mountains stretch along the border with Oman. The highest point of Ras al-Khaimah is Jebel Jais, 1934 meters above sea level. The great mountain canyon of Wadi Bi competes in beauty with the American one: the height of its cliffs reaches thousands of meters. Hiking trails start at dawn. At this time, the best views of the Persian Gulf and the surrounding area open from the mountain peaks. At the foot of the mountains there are centers where instructors and climbing equipment can be borrowed.
