To the great joy of tourists who love to visit the former residences of monarchs, near the Bulgarian Varna, a local landmark, the royal residence, resumes its work. According to preliminary information, shared by the project manager for the reconstruction of the facility M. Roeva, the first groups of tourists will be able to get inside the majestic palace as early as the third decade of March.
Although the work was fully completed at the end of last year, the specialists did not have time to complete the restoration of the furniture. Therefore, as soon as she takes her usual places, the palace will again be ready to receive history buffs.
The head of the project for restoration work M. Roeva also announced the new cost of the tour for visitors. So, from the moment of opening, guests of the complex will have to pay no more than 15 leva, and preferential categories (the elderly, schoolchildren and organized groups of visitors) plan to provide good discounts.
The restorers managed to create all the conditions for visitors with disabilities. In particular, a panoramic elevator will operate in the center of the palace, from which you can see the prince's bedchamber, the salon in which the rulers received guests of honor (the walls are made of mirrors), the monarch's office and a number of other interesting rooms.
Visitors will also be able to look at the collection of royal items that have been preserved to this day. They will be collected on the third floor. At the end of the tour, guests will have a walk through the stables and the park, where lilies and roses grow. Several greenhouses will also be available for visiting, where you can find a number of plants atypical for the region. Separately, you can visit the ruins of the ancient fortress “Kastritsi”, on the territory of which excavations are taking place.
