🚀 Travel of the future: what awaits us?
The way of life on our planet is gradually changing, as is our way of life. With the development of science and technology, travel of the future may become radically different: faster, more convenient and even safer. We looked at what is available now, and what we just need to wait for.
Speed without limits
So, in the near future we will be able to enjoy incredibly fast rides on hyper-fast trains at speeds of up to 1000 km/h. In this case, all passengers will be in special capsules that move smoothly through vacuum pipes, which will avoid air pressure and other problems.
“Only in science fiction,” you say. But no! In China, tests of a system including similar trains have already been completed. And it works according to the same principle: according to the idea of Chinese scientists, the transport is located in a vacuum space inside the tube, and speed is gained thanks to magnetic suspension.
And even though at this stage of development it was possible to achieve only a speed of 130 km/h, the test results are considered successful. There are plans to build an entire route where trains will be given the opportunity to “accelerate” to the coveted thousand.
Elon Musk also saw the opportunity to put hyper-fast train technology on commercial tracks, but did not bring the project to fruition. As a result, the Virgin Hyperloop company began to bring the idea to life, concentrating, however, only on the transportation of goods. But perhaps this is temporary.
Airplanes are a thing of the past
New technologies will also affect aircraft. For example, there is already promising research into flying cars.
Judging by the promising investments in this technology, similar cars will hit the market by 2040, but in the meantime there are many startups trying to turn into full-fledged production.
So, while Uber is just working on a flying taxi project, Volocopter, a company based in Germany, has already created what they say is the first drone air taxi. But the new rules of ~road~ air traffic have not yet been formulated, and the question of the existence of “traffic jams” in the air remains open.
Lunar tour and trips to Mars
But it's not just air and ground transportation technologies that are changing the future of travel. Humanity is already so connected with space that it does not see a future without its further study. And futurologists claim that soon space will be conquered not only by researchers, but also by ordinary travelers.
Experts consider Mars to be one of the most popular destinations for travel. In their opinion, by 2050 there will be regular commercial flights to the red planet. Despite the unbearable conditions on Mars, people will strive to get there to admire the landscapes of the distant planet with their own eyes.
More realistic is tourism to the moon. Yusaku Maezawa, a billionaire from Japan, announced his plan to fly into lunar orbit with eight lucky people this year. Having bought all the available seats on the SpaceX spacecraft, Maezawa on his Twitter page invited everyone to take part in the selection and fly into space completely free of charge.
The project was called dearMoon. According to the billionaire himself, it provides an opportunity for people with outstanding talents to be inspired and create something new in the field of art.
Conquering space
Flights into space are quite possible now. This opportunity was announced by Blue Origin, a rocket engine development company. The organization is unknown to a wide audience, but is very ambitious in its plans. And it’s not surprising, since it was founded by Jeff Bezos, who is currently in the top 3 richest people in the world according to Forbes magazine.
Virgin Galactic is also quite successfully developing space tourism. The company is already accepting applications for those wishing to participate in the flights. Tourists will be able to go into space on modular ships. Anyone who has 250 thousand dollars to spare will be able to have fun, enjoy weightlessness and observe amazing landscapes.

- In France it will be possible to fly into the stratosphere from 2025
Very soon, travel will be different from what we are used to seeing today. Speed, safety, comfort and variety – all this awaits us in the near future. But, despite the predictions of scientists, new technologies and amazing innovations, one thing will remain unchanged – the desire of people to travel and discover new horizons, regardless of place and time.
