Toy railway

The first passengers were transported by YaDZhD on May 9, 1946. Then the passengers got into wooden pastures, which were pulled by a captured German tank engine. The length of the path was 5.5 kilometers. But in 1957, the road had to be dismantled, and the rolling stock was mothballed: the highway fell into the flood zone during the construction of the Gorky reservoir.

A new YADZhD was laid in the Left Bank, in the Yakovlevsky forest. The length of the route was just over 3 km. The Orlyonok train consisted of special small wagons. After the reconstruction in 2008, the length of the route increased, and the rails with sleepers were also replaced.

Now the wagons were pulled by a modern Hummingbird locomotive. Today, a school for a young railway worker operates at the YaDZhD.

In it, students of city schools master the professions required on the railway. Members of the circle have advantages when entering specialized higher and secondary educational institutions. But taking a ride along the YaDZhD, visiting cozy platforms, playing on playgrounds is not all.
