The weather in Vietnam in September is famous for high temperatures. Depending on the region of the country, one can note either a gradual transition from a wet to a dry period, or a full approach to the dry tourist season. In general, it can be noted that the local resorts are ready with wide arms to host numerous travelers and give them unforgettable days of beach holidays.

Northern territory of the country

The closer to the Vietnamese-Chinese border, the stronger the approach of the warm season is felt. The regions of Vietnam bordering on the Chinese provinces are the first to plunge into favorable climatic conditions, which, without any doubt, are conducive to active beach recreation, sightseeing and just getting to know the amazing Asian country.

The air in this area during the day warms up to 30 degrees Celsius, and at night it rarely drops below 18 degrees. Even in the mountainous regions, the freezing cold is no longer felt, which not so long ago forced many guests to hastily pack their bags and go in search of more favorable conditions for recreation. In September, there is a quick transition to the dry season, which everyone who wanted to explore northern Vietnam in more detail has been waiting for so long. Central regions

But the central regions of Vietnam at this time are immersed in streams of water, which form heavy torrential rains. The amount of precipitation per month here easily exceeds 400 mm (although a couple of weeks ago this figure hardly exceeded 120 mm!). But the real peak of the season in these parts falls on the next two autumn months.

It is very difficult to relax in such conditions, and you should forget about spending time on the beach. Typhoons begin to dominate the region, which bring down huge waves on the coast, and the air temperature gradually goes down. All this can turn your vacation into a very risky undertaking. So you should think carefully before buying a ticket to one of the resorts in the central part of Vietnam.

Southern regions

Despite the fact that in September the southern territories are still under the influence of wet cyclones, you can relax here quite well. Rains here, although they happen almost every day, are still short-lived. The first half of the day is generally characterized by high temperatures and contributes to a good time at the seaside. The average rainfall drops to 250 mm, and the number of hours of sunshine is only slightly less than in April.

The best will be rest in Mui Ne and Phan Thiet. During this period, there are little rainfall, there is practically no wind, which allows you to have a great time on the beach. But Nha Trang and Ho Chi Minh City still have heavy rains in September, so those who do not want to spend a lot of time on the beach should choose these resorts.
