🎰 Las Vegas: top 10 attractions and best hotels in Sin City 🌃

34

None of the cities on my travel list has as many epithets and comparisons as Las Vegas. This is a pearl of the desert, a city of sin, and an oasis of pleasure. This is because the gambling capital of the United States is very diverse: Las Vegas is a whole world in miniature. Here you will take a photo with the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty, and the Egyptian pyramid. A journey through time and space also awaits you. You can also either secure your future forever or make the biggest mistake in life.

The city of the brave and passionate, passionate and emotional. Let's go to Vegas, which never sleeps. Leave the search for cheap tickets there to a reliable aggregator. Or book a tour to the USA from professionals.

Las Vegas: what's interesting about the city

At least because the world capital of gambling is a little over a hundred years old. The city was founded in the middle of the Mojave Desert only in 1905. For some time, its role was reduced to a transit point from the east of the country to the west.

To match the adventurers who visited Vegas, there were also activities in it. The authorities allowed cruel shows here, the construction of gambling houses and gave significant relaxations to moral principles. Thanks to this, Nevada began to be perceived as a “state of great opportunity.” Interestingly, the argument for the dominance of casinos was found to be the most innocent: they say that more schools could be built from gambling revenues.

As a result, the Las Vegas gambling business has become an explosive cocktail of debauchery, innovation, crime and social responsibility. In the mid-20th century, mafia families ruled many casinos, where free morals reigned. But they, together with Hollywood, formed mass culture. And with “dirty money” a pristine white city grew in the desert.

This is what Las Vegas is like. The city of angels and demons, where not only human passions and vices are united, but also the best qualities.

Where to stay in Las Vegas?

Las Vegas is not only a city of casinos, but also a city of hotels. It would not be a great simplification to say that the sleeping places in it are located almost under every palm tree. And their choice is solely a matter of your budget and the impressions you want to take with you.

Almost all establishments in the city are resorts. That is, complexes of hotels, entertainment, spa services, restaurants. They have everything for a holiday to suit every taste: the hotel will take care of the child’s leisure time and ensure that you can play roulette not far from the place where you take a shower.

The advantage is that, compared to traditional hotels in the States, the level of hotels in Vegas is much higher. But the price is more expensive, you have to pay a resort fee. You can choose one of the chain hotels that we wrote about. Or stay at your favorite gambling complex. In network sites, prices from Tartu start from $100 per night. For comparison, a night at the Bellagio will cost at least $300.

What to see. Las Vegas casino

Las Vegas is, first and foremost, a casino city. But you should not perceive the journey through it as a transition from one hall to another with endless rows of “one-armed bandits”. Entertainment here has become a real cult. And every detail is designed to delight and attract the visitor. Therefore, Las Vegas casinos are real palaces, transporting with their appearance either to ancient Egypt, then to the era of Caesar, or to the Middle Ages.

Let's go forward with you to the past. First, let's take a look at the most significant gambling houses.

Bellagio

The most publicized, the most recognizable, the most chic. In general, the best gambling and hotel complex in Las Vegas. But in these “most” the leading role is played by the “most Hollywood”. You saw the Bellagio robbery in Ocean ‘s 11. In “The Bachelor Party in Las Vegas,” collective amnesia happened there too. After something like this, how can you not walk through such a close and dear place?

For the main attraction of the complex, you don’t even need to go inside. The legendary Bellagio musical fountains precede the entrance to the main building, throwing jets of water as high as a 20-story building. The fountains consist of 1,175 jets and 4,500 lamps and put on a show every half hour. It's no surprise that Tripadvisor consistently ranks them among the top attractions across the country.

Inside the Bellagio there is a botanical garden and a gallery of fine arts. The botanical garden features seasonal exhibitions. They are prepared for every season of the year and specially for the Chinese New Year. Designers also delight visitors with displays for key US holidays, such as Halloween., Thanksgiving.

Finally, the Bellagio is known for its ultra-expensive shows. For example, the Cirque du Soleil show took place on an artificial lake and cost the creators $10 million, becoming the most expensive in the history of Las Vegas.

Luxor

And now we are going very close: to Egypt. Another cult entertainment establishment is on the way: Luxor. The 30-story black pyramid is difficult to confuse with anything. Next to the main building, the oriental theme continues with two ziggurat towers and, of course, the Sphinx.

Perhaps the most remarkable thing about Luxor is not even its appearance, but the beam of light shooting from its top. This is the most powerful beam of light on our planet. It is provided by 39 xenon lamps of 7,000 watts each. According to some estimates, Luxor's beam can even be seen from Earth orbit.

Caesars Palace

Remembering Cleopatra, let us move to the abode of her main admirer Julius Caesar. Yes, there is Roman architecture in Vegas too. “Palace of the Caesars” serves not only as a delight to the eyes of tourists, but also as a delight to the owner’s wallet. After all, it is one of the ten largest hotels in the world.

The scope of the creators is manifested not only in this. In 2003, the Colosseum, a 4,300-seat Roman-style theater, was built here. Celine Dion, Elton John, and Cirque du Soleil performed on its stage. Therefore, it is worth being attentive to the posters on the establishment’s website.

Paris Las Vegas

Either Paris or Las Vegas… No dissonance! Not instead, but together – combine a selfie with the Louvre and a trip to one of the most famous casinos in the world.

Paris Las Vegas is known primarily for its amazing replicas of the best Parisian views. Here there was a place for the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the Pont Alexandre III (located right in the building!), the Grand Opera and the Orsay Museum.

The semi- Paris engineers approached their work responsibly. These are not some fake copies. Original drawings and similar materials were used in their construction. The Eiffel Tower alone is worth it. It rises 160 meters, reaching half the height of its Parisian sister. Do you prefer the original to the copy? Then read our short guide to Paris.

Stratosphere Las Vegas

You can tickle your nerves without even approaching the gaming table. The 350-meter Las Vegas Stratosphere Tower, the highest observation deck in the United States, can easily cope with this task.

In addition to the casino and hotel complex, you will find several high-rise attractions inside. Among them, Big Shot is the second tallest attraction in the world. Jumping on chairs along the spire 300 meters from the ground will definitely make your visit to Vegas memorable.

If this is “too much” for you, nothing prevents you from switching to Insanity – giant claws that hang their victims from a great height and spin them over the abyss. Or take a bungee jump on SkyJump. Can't imagine a trip without attractions? Then you will like the description of Disneyland we have prepared.

What to see. Outside the casino

It's not just the casinos that keep Las Vegas alive. A city created for pleasure, it also offers more relaxing entertainment. You can walk under the huge neon dome, check out a couple of museums and check out the popular wedding venue.

Fremont Street Experience

Fremont Street is one of the key streets of Las Vegas, around which the gambling business developed in the old days. Here you can catch postcard views of Vegas, including taking a photo of one of the most famous cowboys of the Wild West – “Vic from Vegas”. Quite progressive, really – Vic is now made of neon.

Neon saved this street from oblivion. When the flow of tourists here began to dry up, in the mid-1990s, LG came up with an original proposal. The innovators decided to create a huge video screen in the form of an arched passage. Now every passerby has access to 460 meters of walking under the neon roof (Fremont Street Experience). Infinite video provides 12.5 million displays and 50 million LEDs. If you're a fan of neon shows, you'll definitely love it on the other side of the US: New York ‘s Broadway. We wrote about it in a separate publication.

Chapel of Flowers

Is there really a place for something holy in this city of the Fall? Undoubtedly! Among the temples of Fortuna, that is, the casino, there is one truly religious establishment with the romantic name “Chapel of Flowers”.

Not to say that people rush there to atone for their sins. The goal is much more pragmatic: to connect your future with your soulmate. The Chapel of Flowers is one of the most popular wedding venues.

The surroundings correspond to this. It's rare that your heart won't melt when you see one of the four ceremony halls, which include the rustic-style Glass Gardens, the celebrity-favorite Victorian Chapel, the Magnolia Chapel with marble mosaic floors, and La Capella Chapel.

Don’t let the external modesty confuse you, you should definitely go inside to appreciate the spirit of romance in the air. Which, however, does not prevent the church from being technologically advanced. Marriages can even be held via the Internet. You can reserve a wedding from $299. Looking for other countries for wedding ceremonies? We have collected the best options for you.

Madame Tussauds museum

Along with Madame Tussauds Hollywood, the Las Vegas location is the best showcase of American show business. Many exhibition halls are dedicated to modern celebrities, who are by no means rare guests in Vegas.

A visit to this establishment will be a special pleasure for fans of the Marvel universe. In addition to the wax figures, a unique 4D exhibition has been prepared for them. Her visit together with the main ticket will cost $40.

Ferris Wheel High Roller

Caesars Palace Casino owns the tallest Ferris wheel in North America, the High Roller. From a height of 170 metres, you can enjoy the neon city lights on a 30-minute ride. To make the experience vivid in every sense, it is better to choose the evening time for the attraction.

Tickets for the Ferris wheel start at $25 during the day and $35 at night. For children under 12 years old the price is $10 and $19 respectively. You can additionally order the Happy Half Hour service and ride in a “bar booth”. The pleasure of contemplation will be complemented by gastronomic temptations.

Dig This Park

Children's dreams are much more naive and down-to-earth: many of us saw ourselves not at the gaming table in a casino, but with pleasure building houses, digging trenches and driving a bulldozer. Dig This park will help you return to childhood, at least for a few hours.

The pearl of the desert and the cradle of excitement: what interesting things can you find in Las Vegas and how not to lose yourself

In the park, you can get behind the wheel of construction equipment and close the childhood gestalt – finally dig a trench not in your imagination, but in Nevada soil. Experienced instructors will teach you how to operate excavators and loaders and ensure compliance with safety precautions. You can take children too. The park's most attractive service is called Aggression Session. On it you can try on the role of a bad guy from an American action movie and turn around a car or two, turning it into a pile of metal. An outburst of emotions is not cheap. Tickets start at $749.

Are you ready to go on the most exciting trip to Las Vegas? Forward to your dream! But don't forget to apply for a US visa. However, this matter can be entrusted to specialists, and at this time you can start packing your suitcases.
