What does it take to get admitted to the Technion in Haifa?
- An obligatory part of the package of documents (as in the case of admission to any other university) is a notarized and certified bachelor's diploma or school certificate. These papers need to be translated into Hebrew. Together with them, a certified copy of the passport is submitted. If the candidate for admission has only a certificate of complete secondary education, he is sent for one preparatory year of study at the university (within the framework of the Mehina program). Students who have completed at least one course at another university in Israel are exempt from the preparatory course.
- Even before the exams, applicants pass a specially designed psychometric test (which allows to determine the intellectual abilities of the candidate). This is followed by a combined exam in mathematics and physics. Only future medical students and architects are exempted from it.
- Also, applicants take an exam on the knowledge of Hebrew and English. The minimum required level in both languages is B2.

How much does it cost to study here?
The cost of education at the Technion is quite high. The figure fluctuates in a very large range:
- from 3000 USD for the first year at the preparatory department;
- up to 35,000 USD per year at the Faculty of Medicine.

The minimum rental price is 3800 USD per year. This amount does not include utility bills, telephone and internet.
The administration of each of the faculties independently awards scholarships for academic merit and participation in social projects. You can apply for membership online through the website. The second option is to do it directly at the university office.
