Weather in Thailand in January – water and air temperature

The air temperature at night rarely drops below 31 degrees Celsius, and the sea water is no cooler than in Bangkok. The average amount of precipitation in January does not exceed 10-15 mm, so the rains will not overshadow the long-awaited vacation. There is practically no wind, which only occasionally disturbs vacationers in the form of a light sea breeze. With all this, the air is characterized by a sufficiently high humidity, which does not allow you to “suffocate” from excessive exposure to the scorching sun.

As a rule, Russians who are tired of the long winter and severe frosts come to the local resorts in January. Therefore, local hotels can boast of a staff that is often fluent in the native language of visitors and is able to satisfy any requests of tourists. Do not forget that the high interest in Thai resorts also entails a high demand for hotel accommodation. Accordingly, you should not expect discounts that lure vacationers in other months of the year. And it's better to book in advance.
