This arch is located right behind the Louvre and is part of the Historical Axis of Paris. It is well known that the Arc de Triomphe is located in the French capital, however, few know that it is not the only one of its kind. The arch in Place Carruzel is next in recognizability to the one that towers majestically in Place de la Zvezda. In addition to them, there are a couple of similar buildings: the period of the reign of Louis XIV and La Defense. The arch in Carruzel Square is crowned by the chariot of Apollo, harnessed by four horses – an exact copy of the original antique relic. Created before our era, the quadriga traveled the world from one conquering ruler to another for a long time. It went on like this until, in 1917, she was taken away from Venice for the personal Arc de Triomphe by Napoleon. In 1815, the quadriga was returned to Italy,

By order of E. Medici in 1564, simultaneously with her new castle of the Tuileries, a garden was planted. Initially, it was made in the Italian style. However, passing the century, thanks to the chief gardener of Louis XIV A. Lenotre, the garden has undergone changes. The Frenchman laid the foundation for a completely new direction in landscape design – regular parks. The new look of the garden was a perfect symmetry and proportions. All the planted flora was built in perfect lines, forming perfect geometric shapes. Green lawns are framed by impeccably straight rows of hedgerows and filigree trimmed chestnuts. The flowerbeds are designed in accordance with the overall design of the garden, and the alleys are decorated with beautiful sculptures.

It was erected in 1671 with the aim of raising the prestige of military service and cleaning the streets of the capital from thousands of homeless people. In the years preceding this event, France was simply drowning in various wars. Of course, at the end of them, many mutilated veterans remained. They could not fully perform the work and therefore, living in poverty, were forced to beg. The first in Europe Home for the Invalids became a salvation for the crippled: he gave them shelter, food, proper care and even feasible work. Field of Mars

Along this field lies the path to the most famous landmark in the world – the Eiffel Tower. Just as a diamond needs a noble setting without which it would remain an ordinary stone, so the tower of Alexander Eiffel most likely would not have received universal recognition without its surroundings. The park itself is much older than the tower and in its lifetime has witnessed many of the country's most important historical events. Now the Champ de Mars is a delightful city park with immaculate lawns on which you can sit and even lie down.

Eiffel Tower

So we got to the luxurious symbol of France – the Eiffel Tower. She is delightful at any time of the day: grandiose and majestic during the day, and flirtatious, dressed in an outfit of blinding lights, at night. You can admire it in any season, even during the period of cold autumn showers, the tower does not lose its charm. The Eiffel Tower was to be demolished 20 years after it was built. However, it was protected from demolition by the fact that radio antennas were placed on its top. In those days, the radio was just becoming more and more in demand, and this building was very suitable for transmitting a radio signal. We can say that the main attraction of the world has been preserved by nothing more than technological progress.
