Moraine Lake has long remained hidden from human eyes. Everything changed only in 1899, when the traveler-naturalist Walter Wilcox accidentally came to the magical shores of this place. As soon as he saw the slopes of the mountains that were reflected in the bright blue water of the lake, he forgot about everything. For about half an hour, Walter walked along the shore of his outlandish find and later recalled that these were the best moments of his life.
