However, when choosing a place where you can relax and have a meal with the whole family, you should consider:

offering reduced portions at a reduced price if there is no special children's menu;
availability of a play area and entertainment for children;
availability of high chairs;
the ability to reserve a table and make an order in advance;
indication of ingredients and possible allergens in the menu;

Of course, every year there are more and more family restaurants and cafes. Here is a selection of some of them around the world where you can safely go with your child.

Europe

Emma Pizzeria – Italy, Rome

This is one of the best pizzerias in the city! In addition to pizza and subs, the restaurant offers cured meats, cheese boards, pasta and meatballs. Prices are high, but consistent with the quality of the food.

Emma does not have special entertainment for children, but the pizzeria is open all day, unlike many others, and is located in the city center. This is convenient when walking around Rome. The establishment is very popular among families with children, so it is better to book a table.

Benoit – France, Paris

It will take at least a whole day to explore the countless exhibition halls of the Louvre. And to restore the energy spent admiring art, you can go down to the Benoit bistro. It is located directly under the pyramid of the museum.

Doca de Santo – Porto Galia, Lisbon

Rosi La Loca – Spain, Madrid

The family restaurant is located in the lively Chueca district of Madrid. The interior resembles a fairy-tale doll's house. The facility is spacious enough for children to run around. The menu consists of traditional Spanish dishes with a modern twist.

Be sure to try their delicious flatbreads, paella and their famous rositas – mini burgers made with chickpeas and quinoa. The restaurant also offers a wide range of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Additionally, the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating.

Heddon Street Kitchen – England, London

Children eat free at Gordon Ramsay's restaurant. That's why there are main dishes for them: meatballs with pasta, macaroni and cheese, bangers and mash or hamburger and chips. You'll have to pay extra for desserts, but the delicious chocolate brownies and ice cream with chocolate sauce are worth it. The establishment is located near Piccadilly Circus.

De Carrousel Pannenkoeken – Netherlands, Amsterdam

Located in the heart of the city, the restaurant offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The menu consists of Dutch pancakes with fillings for every taste. The staff is very helpful. In addition, the establishment has outdoor seating and a playground.

Zapiecek – Poland, Warsaw

Omusubi Cafe – Japan, Tokyo

Looking for healthy Japanese food for your little ones? The cafe offers 15 different types of rice balls, prepared without additives.

Onigiri with classic Japanese fillings such as salmon, plum, and shrimp tempura can be ordered individually. The set menu is also worth trying. Jungle Jamboree – India, New Delhi

What could be more whimsical than a family dinner in a restaurant that looks more like a jungle? The interior of the establishment seems to hypnotize children. Neighborhood Food – Bali, Ubud

One of the best places in Lagos to spend time with children. The restaurant is an American style diner with very large portions and delicious food. There is also a playroom suitable for toddlers.

Under the Radar – Kenya, Nairobi

This Nairobi venue is perfect for children's parties. In addition to a good menu, there is an equipped outdoor playground with an animator. A child can have fun on it all day long.

Cafe Clock – Morocco, Marrakesh

The establishment offers colorful decor, a large selection of delicious dishes and a family atmosphere.

Food is kid-friendly, such as banana pancakes, couscous, fruit salad, grilled chicken sandwiches, juices, smoothies and desserts. For those who like something new, the menu includes a camel burger, fig and blue cheese salad, or lamb tagine.

On Mondays and Thursdays there are story nights in English and Darij. You can also enroll your child in one of the culinary courses that are organized in the restaurant.

Bella Napoli Ristorante & Pizzeria – Tanzania, Dar es Salaam

A place with a lot of pasta and pizza options. Desserts, especially tiramisu, are the best part of the menu. There is a playground for children with an animator, so adults can eat leisurely while the little ones have fun.

North America

Everson Royce Bar – USA, Los Angeles

It seems that the word bar is not very suitable for children, but Everson Royce is an unusual establishment. There is a huge backyard with a play area. The kids will be able to run around, and you won't have to worry about them knocking over the waiter.

The menu includes hamburgers – the best in town – and fries. There are also unusual and delicious cocktails here.

Serendipity 3 – USA, New York

New York is spoiled for choice with restaurants. What sets this place apart, however, is its quirky decor, with Tiffany aba juras for sale and fantastic desserts. Here you can try meatloaf, omelettes and fettuccine with shrimp. They also serve long hot dogs and spaghetti with meatballs.

The menu includes “Frrrozen” hot chocolate. The drink is served with cream and a top-secret blend of 14 fine cocoas mixed with milk, ice and chocolate chips. Here you can also try ice cream with three scoops of 23-karat edible gold. Real jam!

Ted's Bakery – USA, Hawaii

In Hawaii, which can rightly be called a paradise for surfers, there is Ted's Bakery. The establishment has been selling coffee and pastries since 1987. It quickly gained fans with its Haupia chocolate cream pie.

In addition, you can have a hearty breakfast of white rice with a hamburger patty, fried egg and gravy.

If you're getting takeout, it's easy to find outdoor seating nearby. But it’s still better to take a walk to Sunset Beach Park and have a picnic there.

Barque Smokehouse – Canada, Toronto

Families are very welcome at this restaurant. There is a children's menu with drinks and side dishes for the little ones. The restaurant also hosts family theme nights every Sunday and weekend brunches.

Café Nin – Mexico, Ciudad Juarez

The magnificent space was created by Mexican Elena Reigades, the best female chef of 2023 according to the British magazine 50 the best restaurants. This is a relaxed place where you can eat and chat with the whole family.

The cafe has an interesting interior. It combines plants and brick, ancient and modern, open space and attic. The menu is universal with carefully selected ingredients. There are also excellent pastries here. But, unfortunately, there is no changing table in the tiny toilet.

Living Havana – Cuba, Havana

While parents eat delicious sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, pasta and salads with a clear view of the playground, the child can spend time safely. And if you get hungry, the restaurant has a children's menu, natural juices and ice cream. On the first and third Saturday of every month, children's parties are held here with clowns, magicians and puppeteers.

South America

Copacabana Beach – Brazil, Rio de Janeiro

On Copacabana Beach, vendors walk between the sun loungers every now and then with simple snacks and sandwiches. And on the promenade there are bars and restaurants, from budget to very sophisticated and expensive. In addition, there are a couple of cafes with a children's menu and their own playgrounds.

Cumaná – Argentina, Buenos Aires

The first thing you see when you enter the establishment is drawing paper and colored crayons on the tables. A great alternative to gadgets while you wait for your order.

The restaurant menu offers dishes for all family members. There are delicious gnocchi, cazuelas (broth with meat and vegetables) and empanadas. However, you can only pay in cash.

El Mayu – Peru, Ollantaytambo

The restaurant is located on the platform of the Ollantaytambo train station. Here you can eat right before or after your trip to Machu Picchu. The food here is prepared using organic, seasonal vegetables from El Albergue's own garden.

La Cevicheria Espacio Palafito – Chile, Chiloe Island

The kids love this quaint seafood restaurant for its terrace. It was modeled after a ship facing the sea. In addition to seafood delicacies, which are not always to the liking of young tasters, the menu includes many dishes for children. These include pizza, empanadas and desserts.

La Galleta de Bruselas – Ecuador, Quito

Did you know that in Quito you can taste traditional Belgian waffles and fries? The restaurant offers the perfect combination of European technology and Ecuadorian products. Be sure to try the fries, bitterballen and fresh lemonade.

Despite the small area, there is a good children's playground.

Australia

Victoria Park Bistro – Australia, Brisbane

If you like to dine al fresco with views of beautiful scenery, head to Victoria Park Bistro. So far this place is not very popular, although everyone who has ever visited it adore it. The establishment offers a variety of dishes and a special menu for children for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a great play area with a climbing wall, tractor and giant slides. The only problem you may encounter is getting the kids to leave.
