The Turkish coast is one of the most popular and sought after among guests from Europe and the CIS countries. It is in this country that there is an endless coastline, which is generously strewn with millions of tons of golden sand. It just so happened that tourists prefer to sunbathe, lying on the sand.
Spending a week or two here, from dawn to dusk, enjoying amazing landscapes and enjoying basking in the rays of the gentle sun, is a real success. It is this kind of vacation that will give the whole range of emotions and will not disappoint even the pickiest of visitors.
Belek
It is located near the world-famous Antalya. It is this amazing corner that is considered a real “business card” of the country. Sand mounds stretch for an impressive 20 km, along which chic hotel complexes are built.
By the way, the entire coastline is divided into zones, the most beautiful and well-groomed of which are the private property of seaside hotels. And this will not remain without due attention and the highest appreciation of vacationers.
Belek is popular among those guests who prefer to pay a little more for comfort and livability. The local outlets to the sea are considered the cleanest, and the hotels are located dangerously close to the waves on land.
Rumor has it that only here you can get such a coveted Mediterranean tan that will evoke warm memories of your time spent abroad for a long time to come. But connoisseurs of sights will be disappointed.
Belek is not one of the places that can introduce them to antiquities, ancient heritage and rich history of the region. Those who are tired of the noise of the metropolis come here and want to be alone with the sea and their thoughts, enjoying the clear sea and the endless snow-white coastline.

Side
This paradise was opened to a wide range of tourists relatively recently, but has already gained immense popularity.
Visitors are captivated by the fact that this part of the Turkish coast has not yet been subjected to serious human influence and has retained its originality. You can stay at one of the local hotels, which complement the overall panorama of the area with their chic facades.
It is worth noting that every guest of this part of the coastline will be able to find the best place to relax. So, if you prefer the proximity of civilization and are not at all embarrassed in the presence of a huge number of tourists, we recommend choosing one of the hotels in the western part of Side.
But for those who are ready to give “half of the kingdom” in exchange for silence and a deserted beach, the eastern part will be more to their taste.
Kemer
Kemer is considered one of the most photogenic places in Turkey. It is located in a unique area: on the one hand, tourists have an amazing view of the endless sea, and on the other, the resort is reliably protected by high cliffs. Despite the external “detachment” from civilization, Kemer and its surrounding areas can boast of a developed infrastructure.
Discos, bars, restaurants – all this is in abundance here. Therefore, rest to Kemer and its surroundings will be the best option for active people.
The resort is also famous for its excellent hotels, the best of which are located on the first line, right by the sea. And one more detail: once in Kemer, be sure to try lamb and seafood dishes. They taste just phenomenal!

Patara
Another sandy resort in Turkey is Patara. This town is located in one of the most picturesque places of the Mediterranean basin. By the way, tourists from Europe and Russia have not yet “tasted” the local region, so it is always very cozy and quiet here. Only those who have already visited these places before and managed to fall in love with its unusually picturesque landscapes come here.
There is also a significant drawback, which will be decisive for many guests of Turkey. The infrastructure in this part of the country is poorly developed, transport is rare, so active people should not choose Patara. But here are some of the most “sparing” prices. And the best in all of Turkey, white sand.
Dalyan, Iztuzu beach
Another Mediterranean resort, Iztuzu, is famous for its white sand. It is unusually beautiful here, because on the one hand the coast is washed by the waters of the Dalyan River, and on the other it goes into the sea. Divers from all over the world come to this corner of Turkey to replenish their collection of unique photographs with new pictures.
And there is something to see here. Huge colonies of turtles, extraordinarily beautiful corals, colorful sea creatures that divers look at with caution and interest – all this promises to be part of an unforgettable underwater journey.
Iztuza with its underwater world can be easily compared to a real museum, which exhibits the rarest and most unique exhibits.
Redemption
Kundu has recently begun to develop as a resort: earlier there were ordinary residential areas for local residents. Almost the entire coastal zone is divided between hotels: only guests are allowed to enter here. The guards are watching this.
Only in the center there is a small free zone. But there is no special cleanliness and comfort here. There are changing cabins and trash cans.
Another matter private territories. Here is an extended package of services:
Everywhere there are towers on which lifeguards are on duty. But it is important to remember: the territory is patrolled only during daylight hours.
Kundu offers a rather expensive vacation: wealthy tourists, families with children come here. There are no noisy parties on the beach, there are no usual entertainments. But cafes and restaurants in the coastal strip are not uncommon. Some offer a children‘s menu.
Kundu is strewn with fine soft sand. In the coastal strip, you have to overcome screes of medium pebbles, so it is recommended to take swimming shoes with you. Entry into the water is gentle. It is pleasant and comfortable to rest here. Kundu rightfully bears the Blue Flag.
Alanya
The Alanya resort also has a couple of “trump cards” in its pocket.
First, this is Cleopatra Beach – an amazing place. A wide strip near the water is strewn with light gray sand with small fractions. Sometimes there are pebbles. But it does not hurt to move barefoot.
The entrance to the water is quite steep, which makes it difficult to swim with small children. But near the coast there are an abundance of cafes and small bars. There is always an opportunity to eat.
The set of services is standard:
There is a rescue post. During the rest you can take a boat trip on a yacht. Guests are invited to ride on a banana or cheesecake, rent sports equipment.
The second “trump card” is Damlatash – a great place to relax with children. There is excellent fine sand, sometimes pebbles come across. The depth increases gradually, so the kids willingly bathe in warm water.
The main advantage of the place is Damlatas cave. An enchanting panorama of the surroundings opens up from the platform in front of the entrance. Traveling here will appeal to parents and children. At Damlatas, guests are offered free use of sun loungers and places under shady canopies.
Beach volleyball enthusiasts can play on a specially arranged area. The Teleferik cable car will lift those who wish to the Alanya fortress. Damlatas offers a combination of cultural and beach holidays.

Keykubat
The wide coastal strip is strewn with light sand. Keykubat is closed by a cape from penetrating winds, so there is always calm water here. The kids love this place.
The set of services is standard:
But guests are offered to visit the ruins of the medieval fortress Ich Kale and climb to the Kyzyl Kule tower. Activities include sailing, fishing, and scuba diving. Keykubat has enough coastal cafes and bars serving national and European cuisines.
Lara
Lara was awarded the Blue Flag for organizing recreation by the sea. But it is important to understand: the coastal strip stretches from west to east for 10 km. And in different parts of the guests are met in different ways:
- At first, the territory is free, there are many holidaymakers and local residents. There are outdoor showers, toilets, trash cans and changing cabins. You can rent a sunbed under a shady canopy.
If you wish, you can really stick your umbrella into the sand and spread the rug. Nearby are barbecue areas. Stone ovens are laid out in rare shade. But this part of Lara is not distinguished by cleanliness. Maybe because there are too many people here. - There are fewer guests to the east, the territory is much cleaner. And the services are the same: sun loungers, places under awnings, toilets and showers. Fountains have been installed in some places. You can wash your face, rinse your feet and water your pet in them.
- And the easternmost part of Lara is occupied by hotels. This is a paid part of the coast, but there are more services here. Cafes located by the water, a swimming pool are being added. Guests are provided with bathing suits at the entrance. Paths run along the sand to the water. Guests who prefer a comfortable stay should stay in hotels offering club holidays.
Lara is strewn with dark volcanic sand. The fractions are quite large, in some places small and medium pebbles come across. Walking barefoot in the heat is a problem. The entrance to the water is gentle, the depth increases gradually. But with excitement, the sea becomes muddy: swimming is not comfortable.
Olyudeniz
Oludeniz is washed by the waves of the Aegean Sea. The water here is warm and pleasant.
Belcekiz – on the city‘s free beach Belcekiz, small and medium pebbles are reclaimed in the coastal strip. Entering the water is quite unpleasant, so it is recommended to purchase shoes for swimming. But a little further to the promenade, the coast is strewn with sand.
It is here that the entire beach infrastructure is located:
The Blue Lagoon is a coast – a continuation of the Belcekiz municipal beach, located on the territory of the reserve. The surface is strewn with sand mixed with pebbles. Tourists come here due to the fact that there are practically no waves in the Blue Lagoon. Entry into the water is comfortable and gentle. kids love this place.
The disadvantage of the coast is the high density of tourists. The sunbeds are placed close, it is problematic to approach the sea due to crowding. And the infrastructure is standard.
Kidrak is a very cozy place separated from Belcekiz by mountains. But the coast consists mainly of pebbles. Sandy areas are rare, and when entering the water, you have to overcome pebble scree. But mineral springs beat in the sea, so the water here is saltier and colder than in other places.

Kusadasi
In this resort, most of the beaches are made up of sand. Sometimes there are inclusions of small and medium pebbles. The city beach is wide enough: about 50 m, but open to all winds. That is why there is a strong surf here in the afternoon.
The territory is sandy, walking barefoot is pleasant. And the entry into the sea is convenient: you can swim without special slippers.
Infrastructure is normal:
A playground has been built for the kids.
Yilanjiburnu – part of the coast of the reserve was equipped to receive tourists. There are amazing views and clear sea. The coast is covered with a mixture of pebbles and sand, but the bottom consists exclusively of pebbles. On paid sites, pontoons are equipped, and on free sites, guests enter the water in special shoes.
Ladies' Beach – once only the wives and concubines of the Ottomans rested here. And today this wonderful place is open to all guests and local residents.
The coast is strewn with fine yellow sand. It is pleasant to walk barefoot on it. Nearby there is a small promenade with cafes, restaurants and bars. It's crowded in the evening.
Entry into the water is gentle, the depth increases gradually. Kids love to swim here. The infrastructure is standard. If you want to save money, you should buy an umbrella from the sun and a mat. Located at the edge of the sea, you can get rid of the crowds on the shore.
