If you decide to take a break from the bustle of the city and endless stressful situations at work and at home, then you will not find a more ideal place than Thailand. This is perhaps one of the most calm and relaxing places on the planet, where you can first restore peace of mind on one of the mysterious islands, touch the centuries-old traditions of this country, and then rush to Pattaya and have fun at the disco, feeling absolute freedom.
In this article, we'll talk about how to restore vitality and recharge with positive energy on one of the five best islands in Thailand. On which one – you decide for yourself.

Phuket island

I will begin my story with this island for two reasons: first, it is the largest in size; and secondly, there is practically no language barrier in communication. The fact is that for a long time Phuket was chosen by Russian-speaking tourists from the countries of the former CIS – Russia, Ukraine, Belarus. Therefore, the hospitable hosts made sure that the menus in restaurants, bars and cafes, as well as many signs in hotels, were translated into Russian as well.
Phuket is located in the southwest of Thailand on the shores of the Andaman Sea, 5 km from the mainland.
The island is incredibly beautiful: luxurious exotic greenery, unique specimens of trees, pristine beaches, warm clear water and no less unique representatives of marine flora and fauna, amazing waterfalls in the National Park, viewing platforms, Big Buddha at the top, ancient temples.

Phuket is often referred to as the “Pattaya Coastal Zone”. It offers the same entertainment and pleasures: this is a completely unique massage in numerous salons, all kinds of parties and shows marked “Only for adults”, many beloved “Go-Go bars”, various malls and large shopping centers, funny exotic shows with participation elephants, crocodiles, monkeys and snakes, rafting, Thai boxing, for childrenAmusement Park and Butterfly Garden, etc.

True, prices here “bite”, especially for hotel rooms on the first coastline and travel by tuk-tuk or taxi.

The best time to travel to Thailand and the islands is from November to April. The rainy season starts here in spring. And even in spite of the fact that the tours at this moment are falling in price, the rest can be significantly overshadowed by weather conditions. As the proverb says: “The miser pays twice.” Therefore, it is better to pay a little more, but visit Thailand in the “correct high season” in order to fully enjoy the beauty of this country.

Honeymooners, romantics and couples in love should definitely visit the Rawai Coast. Firstly, there are wonderful restaurants where you can not only eat deliciously, but also enjoy each other's company, and secondly, there is a magnificent observation deck where you can admire the unforgettable Thai sunset, get an incredible feeling of delight, shoot a video or slide -show.

Koh Samui

Koh Samui is the second largest island after Phuket and is so beloved by tourists. Luxurious five-star beachfront hotels, beautiful beaches, excellent infrastructure, entertainment and recreation centers, but in a more relaxed style.

Couples with children, elderly tourists and those who want to retire without depriving themselves of high-quality service prefer to vacation on Koh Samui.

  • Namtok on Mueang is a delightful 20-meter two-level waterfall.
  • Special trips are arranged to observe the life of elephants.
