Tropicarium

Millenaris Park

Park Varosliget

It deservedly belongs to one of the favorite vacation spots for both residents and guests of the glorious capital. The picturesque corner is laid out on the territory of the former hunting estate of King Matthias I of Hungary. They are responsible for the movement of trains, trams, buses, planes and cars. When buttons of a certain color are pressed, street lighting and illumination on architectural monuments are turned on, the cable car is launched, church bells are heard, fountains and other objects of mini-cities begin their work.

Aqua world water park

This is one of the largest indoor water parks in Europe, guaranteeing its visitors of all ages a charge of positive emotions. The water entertainment complex welcomes guests all year round. Toy railway

Among the entertainment, it is worth highlighting the longest narrow-gauge children's railway in the world. The length of its paths is 11.7 kilometers, which is noted in the Guinness Book of Records. The route runs along the picturesque Buda Hill through forests. The trip includes a bridge and a tunnel passing by ancient tower structures, the ruins of a medieval monastery and other interesting places.

The locomotive with passenger cars makes stops at nine stations located at a distance of 1-1.5 km from each other. The one way trip takes about 40 minutes. The train is moving at a speed of 20 km/h. Most employees of the children's railway are schoolchildren aged 10-17. In their free time, they master railway professions. Young workers sell and check tickets, meet and escort trains, prepare trains for departure, keep order.

Marzipan Museum in Szentendre

In the cozy town of Szentendre, 20 kilometers from Budapest, the marzipan museum is always popular. The exposition is a collection of works of confectionery art. Funicular Shiklo

A trip on the Shiklo funicular brings a wonderful variety to the holiday program in Budapest. This is the oldest operating mode of transport in the Hungarian capital. The funicular began its work in 1870. Today, it serves as an attraction for tourists who want to climb the Buda Hill along the historic railroad and feel the spirit of antiquity.

The rolling stock of the funicular consists of three wooden trailers that move along a steep slope with the help of an electric mechanism. Trains leave every 10 minutes. Földalatti Museum

Dedicated to the history of the construction and operation of the city's underground railway. Bear Park “Medveotthon”

25 kilometers from the city there is a one-of-a-kind Medveotthon park. An area of 3.5 hectares is given over to brown bears, for which the most natural natural habitat conditions have been created. Clubfoot can sleep and rest in artificial caves, swim and fish in lakes.

Each inhabitant of the reserve has its own story. Some animals were taken out of the zoo, others were confiscated when they were tried to be smuggled across the border. Some individuals lived with people as pets until they grew up and became dangerous.

The bears are friendly towards the constant stream of visitors. They are not afraid to approach people. Bears can be fed with carrots or honey. To do this, tourists will be given a long wooden spoon.

Ethnographic Museum “Skansen”

Fans of atmospheric and cozy places should visit the open-air ethnographic museum – Skansen. It played an important strategic role as the location of an emergency room during World War II. Also, the cave simultaneously served as a bomb shelter in case of a nuclear conflict. The sounds of a siren and the echoes of the bombing, the groans and heavy sighs of the wounded create an oppressive atmosphere. All artifacts are exhibited in their authentic interiors. Tools, medical devices, communication devices, photographs, documents and civil defense equipment tell about the historical role of the military hospital.

Houdini House Museum

Budapest is the birthplace of the world famous magician Harry Houdini. In 2016, the world's first and only museum dedicated to the life and work of the greatest illusionist was opened. The exposition occupies three cozy halls in one of the ancient medieval castles of the city.
