Terms and advertising

1. Scope

These terms apply to the use of the website tourism.com.de in all language versions. By opening the website you accept them. The legal notice and the privacy policy apply in addition.

Use of the website is free. No contract over the use of the content is concluded, and there is no entitlement to permanent availability of the website.

2. Content and purpose

All articles serve to inform and to help you prepare a trip. They do not replace legal, medical, insurance or tax advice, nor binding information from authorities, transport operators or travel providers.

We check opening hours, prices, timetables, and visa and entry rules against the official source on the check date stated in each case. They can change at any time afterwards. Before you travel, always check the provider's details and the official guidance issued in your country of residence.

3. Advertising and affiliate links

This website is funded by commissions from travel providers and, where present, by advertising slots.

  • Links and blocks that can earn us a commission are labeled "Ad". The label sits directly on the link or block concerned and is visible without scrolling.
  • Teasers on overview pages that lead to an article containing such links carry the same label.
  • Using such a link does not change the price for you.
  • A booking contract is concluded exclusively between you and the provider concerned. We are not responsible for their service, prices, cancellation terms or refunds.

For the full account, with the names of the partners and the limits of this model: How we make money.

4. Editorial independence

We choose, order and assess the places, hotels, tours and providers we name independently of affiliate programs. A provider cannot buy its way in, and cannot pay for a better placement.

We do not publish paid guest posts, unlabeled advertising links, or texts delivered ready-made by third parties. We do not accept topics outside travel. We do not reply to enquiries of this kind.

Any cooperation we might enter into, such as a press trip or a ticket provided free of charge, would be named in the article concerned, at the top and not in a footnote.

5. Use of the content

Texts, images, graphics, and the selection and arrangement of the content are protected by copyright.

  • Permitted: quotations within the limits allowed by law, with a source credit and an active link to the original page that is not marked nofollow.
  • Not permitted: reproducing articles in full or in large part, translating them without consent, incorporating them into collections, apps or databases of your own, and automated scraping to build competing offerings.
  • We reserve all rights in the use of our content for training generative models. A reservation of use within the meaning of § 44b Abs. 3 UrhG is hereby expressly declared.

Please address enquiries about wider use to moc.liamg@ed.moc.msiruot.

6. Third-party content and links

The provider of a linked third-party website is always responsible for it. The details, and the procedure in the event of an infringement, are set out in the legal notice.

7. Liability

We are liable without limitation in cases of intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body and health. In cases of ordinary negligence we are liable only for the breach of a material contractual obligation, and only up to the foreseeable damage typical of such a case. Liability is otherwise excluded. Liability under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz) remains unaffected.

You are responsible yourself for the decisions you take on the basis of our articles, in particular for bookings, itineraries and scheduling.

8. Changes

We may amend these terms if the legal situation, the technology of the website or the funding model changes. The version published here is the one that applies.

9. Applicable law

German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you have your habitual residence remain unaffected.
