Sights, hotels and itineraries for 60 countries. We check opening hours, prices and directions against official sources and put the date of that check into the text.

We are not a travel agency and we do not sell trips. What we could not verify ourselves is written without a number.
Destinations by continent, country and city. The number shows how many checked guides you will find there.

For readers who know what the trip should look like but not yet where to go.
A country makes the list when we have checked guides for it. We do not show regions without content just to make the map look full.
Twelve countries where we have enough checked guides to plan a whole trip. The number counts guides, not promises.
Cities, museums and coastline from Venice to Sicily. We recheck admission and opening hours before every season.
Coast, cities and festivals. Where a beach day and a city walk fit together, and when it gets too crowded.
From Istanbul to the coast near Antalya. A sober look at all-inclusive, plus bazaars and Cappadocia.
City breaks, Christmas markets and weekends by rail. Prices are dated in the text.
Paris without the queue, plus the Loire and Provence. What booking ahead actually saves you.
London on a budget, day trips and free museums. What the exchange rate does to your day.
National parks, road trips and cities. Distances, entry rules and rental cars without surprises.
Athens, islands and ferries. Which island suits which kind of trip, and which one you can skip.
Prague, castles and spa towns. Where you only get in on a guided tour, and when a fall spa stay pays off.
Bangkok, islands and the north. Which coast suits which season, and how to get from island to island.
Lisbon, Porto and the Algarve. Trains and buses, mealtimes, and why the islands are a trip of their own.
Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the east coast. Local rules, metro and bus, plus the pleasant months from October to April.
Countries with only a few guides so far are not listed here but in the block above. We are building them up instead of making them look bigger.
From "when?" to a booked ticket. Every step leads to checked guides or to a tool that does the maths in your browser.
The order is a suggestion. If you already know where you are going, start at step 2.
What is coming up in the next few weeks: markets, festivals and the months in which a destination works best.

What a tool cannot do has its own section on its page. We consider that the most important part.
Ad
One provider per task, with an upside and a downside. For links marked Ad we earn a commission; your price stays the same.
How we make money All travel services
The order does not follow the commission. Where there is no partner, or where a partner is not good enough, we say so and the tile stays empty.
The parts of the site our readers open most often. The number counts the guides in that section.
The most recently checked and updated guides are directly below.
We show no view counters on the cards. What a guide is worth is not decided by clicks but by when we last checked it, and that is written in the guide itself.
tourism.com.de is made by a small travel desk. We travel ourselves, but we have not been to every place we write about. That is why every guide states when we last checked prices, opening hours and directions against the official source. We do not sell trips and we are not a travel agency.
The project lives on affiliate commissions: if you book a ticket, a hotel or a transfer through a link marked as an ad, we receive a small share. Your price stays the same. Together with display advertising, that is the site only income, and we label such links right on the block.
