Welcome. This page is for anyone who is here for the first time and wants a quick sense of what tourism.com.de is and how it is organised, instead of clicking around to find out.

Who we are

tourism.com.de is a small editorial team writing travel guides, hotel tips and practical planning help, and we explain openly how our information is put together. What that means in practice is on Editorial process: topic selection, sources, fact-checking with a review date, and how we use AI tools. More about the team is under About us.

Finding destinations

The fastest starting point is Destinations from A to Z: it leads to the countries and cities we cover. If you already have a place in mind, the search field at the top of every page is usually quicker than clicking through categories.

Practical planning

For bookings of tours, accommodation, rental cars, train tickets, eSIM and insurance, we link to providers we work with. Which ones and why is explained on Travel resources. Every such link is marked "Ad" in the text.

Free tools

Alongside the articles, we build free tools that work without registration, for example a trip budget calculator and an overview of the best time to visit. So far they exist in German and English, with more languages added over time.

Staying up to date

If you do not want to miss new articles, the Newsletter page explains how that currently works, and what it honestly cannot do yet.
