Ski pass in Val Gardena: prices for the 2026/27 season and 5% discount online

A Val Gardena ski pass is 5% cheaper when you buy it online. There is one condition: buy the ticket no later than two days before your first day on the slopes (5% discount for online purchase, as of 09/2026). At the ticket office you pay full price and wait in line.

One ticket covers Val Gardena and Seiser Alm. Another opens up 12 areas, including the Sella Ronda circuit. Below: both ski passes, age discounts, insurance, refund rules.

What the Val Gardena and Seiser Alm ski pass includes

💡 In short:

  • The Val Gardena and Seiser Alm ski pass covers the entire valley and the plateau.
  • The Dolomiti Superski pass opens up 1,200 km across 12 areas, including the Sella Ronda.
  • Buying online is cheaper than at the ticket office, but only if you buy in advance.
  • Prices and age brackets: 09/2026, verified on the tourism office ski pass page

The Val Gardena and Seiser Alm ticket covers the entire valley and the plateau. With it you can ride 79 lifts and 181 km of slopes, and you can also reach the Sella and Gardena passes (Val Gardena ski pass price list, as of 09/2026). This ticket works both on the short slope by your hotel and on a long route across the valley. It pays off if you stay in one place all week.

The second option is broader. Dolomiti Superski combines 12 areas and 1,200 km of slopes: Cortina d'Ampezzo, Alta Badia, Val di Fassa, Arabba, Civetta and others (same tourism office price list, as of 09/2026). You can switch areas every day and ride the Sella Ronda with no extra charges. For three days of skiing in one valley, this pass is overkill.

In practice this means: first count your days and areas, then choose your ticket. The catch: until the end of the season, lift operation in all valleys is not guaranteed, and prices may change due to tax or exchange rate decisions (official Dolomiti Superski website, as of 09/2026).

Ski pass prices and the 5% online discount

Buying online is 5% cheaper than at the ticket office, and it only works if you buy no later than two days before your first day of skiing (online discount terms, as of 09/2026). At home you pay for the ski pass, receive a QR code by email, and pick up your ticket at a pickup box. With a My Dolomiti Card it is even easier: the ticket is loaded onto the chip, and you go straight to the lift.

There is a detail for those who come every year. Do not throw away your My Dolomiti Card: when you buy a new card in your name, the discount drops to 3% (rule about the 3% discount, as of 09/2026). One card over several seasons saves more than you might think.

A day ski pass in high season costs the most. The exact amount for your dates is shown by the rate calculator (as of 09/2026). There you can see the price per day, for six days, and for the season, as well as high-season surcharges. Check the price in advance: around holidays and during carnival week, rates are higher than in a regular January.

Cards for individual runs

If you ski rarely or come with companions who do not ski, get a reloadable card for individual rides (prices for single-ride cards, as of 09/2026). Units are deducted per lift ride, so the card can be handed off to another person.

For a family of three or four, this card is cheaper than three day passes. A regular day ski pass cannot be transferred: if misused, it will be voided.

Discounts for children, juniors, and seniors

Discounts are based on year of birth and ticket type (discounts for juniors and seniors, as of 09/2026). The year-of-birth cutoffs are updated before each season, so check them in the price list on the website.

For a junior or senior discount, you need a document, and the ticket is issued in person. This is checked at the ticket office. If you are traveling as a family with a child, buy an adult ticket at full fare. Then one child ski pass for that adult is free.

Season ski passes: the numbers

A season ticket is calculated differently, and here the parent's purchase is what matters. If one parent buys a season ski pass at full fare, the second ticket for a child or junior costs €335 (as of 09/2026). Without such a parent ticket, the same child pays €650. Seniors buy a season ski pass for €970.

The Superski Family program is designed for families of three or more. You link your My Dolomiti cards and load 10 to 20 ski days per person (as of 09/2026). You use the days in any order you like, adapting to the weather and the children's energy levels.

Families with more than two children get free season cards for the third and fourth child. The condition is this: you buy at least four season cards and arrange them together at the central ticket office.

Group discounts for clubs and organizations

Clubs, university sports centers, and companies get a 7% group discount on 20 or more paid tickets (as of 09/2026). You choose one of two options:

  • a discount on all tickets of the same type purchased at the same time;
  • one free ticket for every twenty paid tickets of the same type.

The discount applies only to day and multi-day ski passes. Families and companies that have already gathered at the hotel are not included in the program, and this is checked on site. If you are traveling as a club, buy tickets of the same type for the whole group.

My Dolomiti Card and the online shop

My Dolomiti Card works as a personal chip for ski passes (My Dolomiti card description, as of 09/2026). You top it up at the ticket office or online as many times as you need. The card is ordered for free in your "My Dolomiti" account, but you pick it up in person: they take your photo on site.

Also check out Performance Check. The Dolomiti Superski service tracks your daily distance and vertical drop. For many, it's just as addictive as the skiing itself.

The point of the card is online purchasing. You buy an E-Skipass on the Dolomiti Superski website, pay by card, and the ticket loads onto the chip the first time you tap the turnstile. The card isn't single-use, so the discount works year after year.

Online Shop and pickup boxes

A ski pass bought in advance is picked up from a pickup box using the voucher from your email, and it's free (ski pass pickup boxes, as of 09/2026). The boxes are located at the base stations of Ortisei (Seiser Alm), Seceda, Saslong, Mont Sëura, Dantercepies, Col Raiser, Ciampinoi, Piz Sella, and at the ski pass office in Santa Cristina. You top up your My Dolomiti card online and head straight to the lift without stopping.

Where to pick up your ski pass: ticket offices and machines

Full ski passes are sold at three ticket offices (ticket offices in Val Gardena, as of 09/2026):

  • Wolkenstein, Ciampinoi base station;
  • Santa Cristina, town center;
  • Ortisei, Seiser Alm base station.

Day and multi-day tickets are also sold at major lifts. Discounted and multi-day ski passes are issued only at the central ticket offices, so you can't buy a family ticket at a small station. Plan your morning so you don't have to drive across the whole valley for one ticket.

Self-service machines are located at the Ortisei (Seiser Alm), Seceda, Ruacia, and Ciampinoi stations, and in front of the ticket office in Santa Cristina. The machine is a lifesaver in the morning because it works before the ticket offices open.

Important: pickup ticket offices only provide information about ski pass sales. For questions about slopes, weather, and buses, go to the tourist office.

Hotel Skipass Service: ski pass waiting for you on arrival

Some hotels in Val Gardena work with Hotel Skipass Service (Hotel Skipass Service, as of 09/2026). You buy a ski pass in the Dolomiti Superski online shop, then both the guest and the host receive a voucher. You pick up the ticket at the ticket office or a self-service box, and some hotels sell ski passes at reception and leave the ticket in your room.

It is a simple process. If you arrive late in the evening, ask the hotel in advance whether it participates in the program. That way you do not lose an hour at the ticket office in the morning and you get on the slopes with everyone else.

For accommodation near the lifts, see hotels in Val Gardena on Trip.com.

Ski insurance: what the law requires

Since January 1, 2022, everyone who goes on the slopes in Italy must have third-party liability insurance (mandatory insurance since 2022, as of 09/2026). This insurance is not included in the ski pass, and it is not sold at the ticket office. So you need to arrange the policy yourself, before your trip.

It is not only about damage to other people's property. Without a policy, helicopter evacuation, medical treatment, and loss of income are expensive. Many health insurers do not cover helicopter rescue, and the bill for such an evacuation goes to you.

You have two options. The German DSV-Skiversicherung covers sports injuries, broken or stolen skis, and you can buy it on ski-online.de. The second option, Snowcare, is sold online for periods from one to nine days at €3 per day (as of 09/2026). You buy either policy before you hit the slopes.

Choose a plan that matches your skiing schedule: compare insurance terms.

Ski pass refund after an injury and what to check

If you get injured, you can get a refund for unused days (ski pass refund rules, as of 09/2026). The conditions are:

  • keep your ski pass: without it, no refund will be issued;
  • you need a medical certificate from a doctor in the Dolomiti Superski area or from the hospital you were taken to;
  • the amount is calculated based on the price of the days already used, and the same logic applies to season passes;
  • day ski passes are not refundable.

At the beginning and end of the season, some lifts are closed and only limited operations are available. Before your trip, check prices and schedules in the Dolomiti Superski price list, where you can also find special offers for your dates.

Separate news for buyers of valley ski passes. Dolomiti Superski has announced that the Italian antitrust authority accepted its commitments. From October 15, 2026, buyers of valley ski passes will be able to use compensation measures (as of 09/2026). The procedure and deadlines will be published on Dolomiti Superski's official channels.

⁉️🤔 Frequently asked questions

How much does a Dolomites ski pass cost for an adult?

The price depends on the season and the length of the ticket. In high season a day pass costs the most, in the shoulder season you pay less. The rate for your dates and the online purchase discount are shown by the Val Gardena ski pass calculator (as of: 09/2026). Online you pay less than at the ticket office, but only if you buy in advance.

What is the difference between the Val Gardena ski pass and Dolomiti Superski?

The valley pass covers 79 lifts and 181 km of slopes in Val Gardena and on the Seiser Alm. Dolomiti Superski opens up 1,200 km in 12 areas, including the Sella Ronda (Val Gardena tourist office price list, as of: 09/2026). For three days in one valley, the first pass is enough; for moving around the region, take the second one.

When should you buy a ski pass to get a discount?

Online and no later than two days before your first day on the slopes, then the discount is 5% (online purchase terms, as of: 09/2026). Use one My Dolomiti Card for several seasons: a new card in your name reduces the discount to 3% (why you should not throw the card away).

Do you need insurance for skiing in Italy?

Yes. Since 2022, third-party liability insurance has been mandatory for everyone skiing in Italian areas, and it is not included in the ski pass (on-slope insurance rules, as of: 09/2026). Take out a policy before you hit the slopes: it is not sold at the ticket office.

Where do you pick up a ski pass bought online?

At a pickup box using the voucher from your email, or at the ticket office. Pickup boxes are located at the base stations of major lifts and at the ticket office in Santa Cristina (addresses of pickup boxes and ticket offices). Some hotels hand over the pass right in your room.

Can you get a refund for a ski pass if you are injured?

Yes, for unused days. You need the ski pass and a certificate from a doctor who works in the Dolomiti Superski area, or from the hospital you were taken to. The amount is calculated based on the price of the days you actually skied (refund procedure). No refund is given for a day pass.

In short: what is worth booking

Choose a pass based on your trip:

  • If you are skiing for two or three days in one valley: take the Val Gardena and Seiser Alm ski pass.
  • If you are planning the Sella Ronda and moving between areas: take Dolomiti Superski.
  • If there are non-skiers in your group: add a card for individual runs.

Buy your ski pass online in advance: this way you pay less and do not stand in line (online purchase terms on the resort website). Look for hotels near the lifts on Trip.com, and compare insurance terms for your policy.
