Tenerife 4 star all inclusive hotels: how to choose and what to expect

Tenerife 4 star all inclusive hotels: how to choose and what to expect

The south of Tenerife has the most 4-star hotels on the first line with an all-inclusive system. Costa Adeje, Playa de las Americas, Los Cristianos, and Playa Paraiso sit almost right at the ocean, and the promenade stretches between them for kilometers. Choosing a hotel is hard because each one has its own meal plan and its own route to the water.

The difference is visible on the ground. One hotel sits across the road from the beach, another shuttles guests on a free bus. One welcomes families with entertainment until midnight, another admits only adults. Below are 15 4-star hotels that offer all-inclusive.

For each one, we list the resort, distance to the beach, dining, and guest type. The cost depends on the season and booking date.

How to choose a 4-star hotel in Tenerife

💡 In short:

  • Look at the south of the island: Costa Adeje and Playa de las Americas have the most 4-star hotels right by the ocean.
  • Check what all-inclusive includes: at some places it is full board with drinks all day, at others only breakfast and dinner.
  • Check the guest policy: some hotels accept only adults.
  • Prices, availability, and all-inclusive details: 09/2026, verified on the official H10 Hotels website and on the official tourism website of Spain.

The north and south of the island differ in climate and coastline. The south is drier and warmer, and the water near the shore stays comfortable longer. In Puerto de la Cruz it is greener and cooler, and the beaches there often have dark volcanic sand. The official tourism website of Spain spain.info explains what kinds of beaches the island has.

⁉️🤔 Frequently asked questions

Where are the 4-star hotels on Tenerife right by the water?

The first line is built up in the south, along Costa Adeje and Playa de las Americas. Right by the water are H10 Conquistador, Iberostar Bouganville Playa, and H10 Gran Tinerfe, with a promenade, shops, and restaurants nearby. In La Caleta, H10 Costa Adeje Palace sits by Playa La Enramada. There is usually a promenade or road between the beach and the hotel.

What does all-inclusive include at these hotels?

The package varies. At Iberostar Bouganville Playa and Iberostar Las Dalias, the rate includes a buffet and drinks; at Sunlight Bahia Principe Costa Adeje you can have dinner at a la carte restaurants free of charge three times a week. At Hotel Best Jacaranda and H10 Conquistador, drinks are available at the bars all day. Check the exact details for your dates when booking.

Are there adults-only 4-star hotels on Tenerife?

Yes, there are two on the list: HOVIMA Costa Adeje and H10 Gran Tinerfe. They do not accept children, so they are quieter than family resorts. HOVIMA Costa Adeje is 200 meters from Playa de Torviscas, and H10 Gran Tinerfe is across from Playa del Bobo and a 7-minute walk from Siam Park.

Where to stay if you want peace and quiet?

Look at Playa Paraiso and La Caleta. Sunlight Bahia Principe Costa Adeje sits away from the busy resorts, with its buildings cascading down to the shore. H10 Costa Adeje Palace is by Playa La Enramada in La Caleta, with only fish restaurants and a promenade nearby. You will need to take a shuttle to get to clubs and shopping streets.

Is it worth booking a hotel in Puerto de la Cruz?

It is a choice for those who want to see the north of the island. Hotel Blue Sea Puerto Resort and H10 Tenerife Playa are in Puerto de la Cruz. Nearby are the Lago Martianez complex, a botanical garden, and an old town over 500 years old. The climate here is cooler and greener than in the south, and the beaches often have dark volcanic sand.
