Futuroscope near Poitiers: tickets, attractions and how to get there
Futuroscope is a park where the screen is bigger than the hall itself. It sits next to Poitiers, and from Paris it is easy to get here by TGV.

What Futuroscope is and how it is laid out
The park opened in 1987 and is dedicated to visual technology and science fiction. In 2017 it celebrated its 30th anniversary, and today it is a full resort: a park, a separate Aquascope water park, and several hotels on one complex (as of 09/2026, what's new page).
The architecture is instantly recognizable: metal, glass, hemispheres, and a translucent cube come together into a futuristic landscape. The main focal point, a crystal-shaped building, reflects the ponds and flower beds by day and is lit up in the evening.

What's new: openings for the 2026 season
The 2026 season opened on February 7 (as of 09/2026, TourMaG).
The what's new page lists attractions from 2024-2026: La Serre des Mondes, T. Rex, Pulse! L'Odyssée électrique, Mission Bermudes, Éclipse, and Hydro Dynamo. Two of them have a height restriction: Mission Bermudes and Hydro Dynamo require a minimum height of 1.05 m.
Aquascope: indoor water park
Aquascope operates separately from the main park. Tickets are not sold on site; you need to book in advance (as of 09/2026, services and rates).

Poitiers, a small historic town, is right next to the park. The historic center is easy to cover with two walking routes, and in the evening you can return to the illuminated Futuroscope.

Yes, it is realistic. The TGV takes about 1.5 hours, and the train arrives right at the park via a pedestrian bridge (as of 09/2026, train information). In the morning you are at the park, in the evening you are back home in Paris. One day works for the main park, but not for the park and Aquascope together.
