October splits into two parts. The first two ten-day periods are close to September, and after the 20th the air cools faster than the sea. Below is a comparison across all ten resorts.

1. Alanya: swimming season through late October

The sun no longer beats down, so you tan evenly, and in the evening the air drops to +17 °C, so a sweater or a warm cardigan will come in handy. If you plan to swim every day, book a hotel with a heated pool.
Housing prices in October are lower than in summer. For the same money you can get a better room, and restaurants make local cuisine more affordable. Traveling with kids is easier: the shallow water is warm and it is harder for little ones to get sunburned.

2. Antalya: warm sea and fewer tourists
Antalya in early October offers warm but not hot weather. During the day the air warms up to +26-28 °C, sometimes up to +30 °C, and the sea stays at +24-25 °C (as of 09/2026, water temperature in Antalya). Swimming is comfortable for both you and your kids.
Rain falls mostly at night and only freshens the air, and by morning the sand on the beaches dries quickly. Humidity is higher than in summer, but that makes your tan go on more evenly.
Excursions in October are more pleasant: there are fewer tourists, and the weather lets you spend more time outdoors. If a beach day does not work out, visit the sand sculpture exhibition or the city film festival, both held in October.

3. Side: velvet season and sandy beaches

During the day the air warms up to +25-30 °C, sometimes up to +32 °C, and the water on the shallow beaches is a steady +25 °C (as of 09/2026, average temperatures in Side). The waves are small, so it is safe for children to swim.
By evening it gets cool. In the last third of the month the air cools down, but the sea still welcomes swimmers, and the daytime heat eases and the town comes alive. Sometimes there are short showers, and sometimes October is completely dry.
This is a good time for a cultural program. Take a trip to Green Canyon, Manavgat Waterfall and Altınbeşik Cave, then stroll through the historic part of town. The water park is open until mid-October.
4. Belek: quiet, pines and eucalyptus

Getting sunburned is almost impossible: the humidity and gentle sun give you an even tan. Children still need sunscreen. It gets cold in the evening, so a warm jacket will come in handy.
By the end of the month, storms and biting winds are common at sea. There are five or six rainy days per month. In bad weather, you can visit the dolphinarium, The Land of Legends park, Koprulu Canyon and the ancient theater in Perge. Leather goods sales are still going on, and there are few tourists.
5. Oludeniz: a warm lagoon among the mountains

There are only about three rainy days per month, and twenty-seven clear days. In the evenings, restaurants, bars and souvenir shops are open, so you'll have plenty to do. Excursion lovers will find options for every taste.

6. Dalaman: the season ends in the first ten-day periods
In Dalaman, the resort season ends in mid-autumn. Tour operators sell packages only for the first two decades, and the number of charter flights decreases. The weather, however, remains comfortable for the beach (regional data).
You can sunbathe without a canopy, and the tan goes on evenly. But in the evening you will need warm clothes and an umbrella: without them, walks will be short, and in October the weather often changes by sunset.
7. Kemer: the warmest sea in October

In the evening after sunset it gets cool, so bring a jacket. The town has one sandy beach, Moonlight, and the rest are pebble. Some beaches have received the Blue Flag for cleanliness and safety.
There are few tourists in October, so sunbathing is peaceful, and excursions help you combine beach time with culture. At the end of the month, Republic Day is celebrated here.
8. Marmaris: the Aegean Sea and pine-scented air

In the first two weeks the beaches are still crowded, then the coast empties out. The town beach is packed in season and can be a bit dirty, but in October it is pleasant to relax here. At the beginning of the month, it is worth visiting the neighboring beaches of Kumlubük and Turunç, which have Blue Flag status.

9. Kusadasi: cooler, but no wind

It rains three days a month, and the rest of the time is sunny and dry. October in Kusadasi is notable for the absence of wind. The weather is good for sightseeing, and there is plenty to see here.

10. Fethiye: calm sea and low prices

The water stays warm and the sea remains calm. The city beach is pebbly, but getting into the water is easy. All cafes and restaurants stay open until mid-month, and prices are lower than in summer, so you will have enough budget for an extra dinner by the sea.

If you want a warm beach and minimal rain, choose Alanya or Antalya. For a quiet stay in a pine forest, Belek is a good fit; for evening strolls along the promenade, choose Marmaris; and for calm seas, head to Fethiye.
Hotels in October are cheaper than in summer, so book early and choose an option with a heated pool: evenings are already cool, and you'll still want to swim after sunset.
