The core of the Old Town is Abanotubani and Sololaki. Hotels here sit on narrow streets, and you can walk to Freedom Square. To the north, Rustaveli Avenue begins with its expensive addresses. Further out, near the Central Station, staying overnight is cheaper, but you'll take the metro to the old quarters.

The second criterion is the view from the window and quiet. Near Freedom Square it's livelier and pricier, but everything is close by. In Sololaki you'll wake up to church bells, but you'll have to walk uphill for dinner. If you're arriving by car, look for hotels with their own parking: there's almost no space in the lanes of Abanotubani.

The Marriott stands right on Freedom Square, and some rooms have views of the city center. The Old Town starts a five-minute walk away, and the National Museum of Georgia and the Rustaveli Theatre are nearby (according to marriott.com). Most of the addresses in this selection are located within three neighborhoods: Abanotubani, Sololaki, and near Freedom Square.
