The swimming season here never stops. Even in January it's warm during the day, and the water in the Persian Gulf remains suitable for swimming. According to Visit Dubai, you can enjoy the coast all year round.

The challenge is the cost. A week on the beachfront easily blows the budget if you pay for everything on the spot: dining outside the hotel, taxis, and tickets eat through money without you noticing. An all-inclusive package removes most of that headache. Below are five UAE resorts, seven hotels, and the months when it's actually comfortable to go.

Dubai: beaches and big infrastructure

Dubai is called the business capital of the Middle East and the main tourist hub of the UAE. Budget hotels are located in the Deira and Bur Dubai districts, far from the beach area. Almost the entire beachfront is built up with 5-star and deluxe hotels.

The country's main attractions are also concentrated here: the Burj Khalifa skyscraper, the Dubai Mall with its huge aquarium, the man-made Palm Jumeirah island, the Jumeirah Mosque, the indoor Ski Dubai complex, and the singing fountains. Several water parks and amusement parks operate nearby, so you'll find something to do any day.

Sharjah: museums and dry law

Sharjah is about a half-hour drive from Dubai, so you get access to all the infrastructure of the metropolis. In character, the emirate is the opposite of its neighbor: a dry law is in effect here, and alcohol is not sold in restaurants or hotels.

On the other hand, Sharjah has many theaters, museums, and exhibition halls, and it's called the arts capital of the country. The beaches on the Persian Gulf coast are considered among the best in the UAE, and on the eastern edge of the city there are diving spots.

Fujairah: ocean and green valleys

Fujairah faces the Indian Ocean and remains the country's only resort of this kind. It's a place for a relaxed getaway without the hustle of Dubai.

The climate here is atypical for the Emirates: there's more rainfall, so desert landscapes give way to green valleys with mountain rivers. The beaches are white-sand, with historical sites and a rural way of life nearby. You'll get a quiet vacation if you're tired of big cities.

Ras Al Khaimah: mountains and hot springs

The country's northernmost emirate is called Ras Al Khaimah. It's home to the UAE's only balneological resort on thermal waters, Khatt Springs.

The Hajar Mountains, palm groves, and large hotels attract tourists here all year round. You can combine the beach with mountains and spa, something other emirates don't offer.

Ajman: an affordable beach near Dubai

Ajman is considered the smallest and least wealthy emirate in the country. There's no dry law here; alcohol is sold freely, but taking it outside the emirate is prohibited.

The resort keeps prices low for the UAE, a relaxed home-like atmosphere, and good hotels. Dubai is about half an hour away by car, so you can easily reach the main malls if you want. The coastline here is long, and some of the beaches are considered the best in the region.

Benefits of an all-inclusive vacation

Eating out in the UAE is expensive. A bill for two without alcohol at a mid-range restaurant adds up to a noticeable amount, and fast food only gets you through one meal. So an all-inclusive package pays for itself here faster than you might think.

The price usually includes meals, drinks, and some activities. Packages often add free shuttles to beaches and malls, kids' playrooms, nanny services, and free internet. You don't think about the dinner bill or count taxi fares to the mall.

The system has a local twist. UAE hotels often include shuttles not only to the beach but also to downtown Dubai and the country's major shopping centers. That way you can reach attractions without renting a car.

For parents, this is the simplest option. Restaurants have kids' menus, entertainers keep little guests busy, and nannies look after your child. A lunch or dinner outside the hotel for a family costs a separate sum, and the package removes it.

When to go to the UAE

The UAE welcomes tourists year-round, but comfort depends heavily on the month. In summer, in July and August, the daytime heat is exhausting, and even powerful air conditioners don't always help. If you have heart or blood pressure issues, it's better to skip a summer trip.

Swimming is still possible: the gulf water gets very warm, and August suits lovers of warm seas. October brings relief, and high season starts in November.

In winter it's warm during the day, but nights get chilly. December and February are considered the coolest months: the air cools noticeably, and the water in the Persian Gulf reaches its lowest values of the year. In March the water warms up again, and beach season picks up.

UAE vacation with kids

The UAE suits vacations with children of any age. Hotels above 4* have nannies, kids' rooms, entertainment teams, playgrounds, and water attractions. The country is considered one of the safest in the world, and the sea entry at most beaches is gentle and sandy.

Summer with little ones is not a good idea: intense heat and temperature swings are hard to handle. Spring months and October are better for a family trip.

Choose a hotel with a shaded kids' area and a heated pool. That way your child always has somewhere to swim, even if the sea feels cool.

2. Radisson Blu Resort Fujairah 5*

The hotel sits right on the Indian Ocean coast in the emirate of Fujairah. The grounds feature four pools, two restaurants, a spa, three cafe-bars, a fitness club, a sauna complex, and a hammam.

Kids have plenty to do here: there's a kids' club, a children's pool, and an outdoor playground. The restaurants and bars offer a children's menu, but this is not included in the all-inclusive package and costs extra. As with most hotels in the country, there's a free shuttle to Fujairah malls daily and to Dubai twice a week.

One of the newest hotels in Fujairah. The resort spreads out at the foot of the Hajar Mountains: heated pools for kids and adults, a large spa with an indoor winter pool, a conference hall, several bars and restaurants, an amphitheater, and a disco.

The private beach is about 500 meters from the buildings (on the map), and umbrellas and towels there are free. In the evenings, there are entertainment programs for adults and kids, plus a fitness club, tennis courts, and sports grounds. Shuttles to Dubai and Fujairah shopping malls are available for guests.

Do I need a visa for the UAE as a tourist?

EU citizens get a visa on arrival, so there is no need to go to a consulate in advance (according to the official Dubai tourism office, 09/2026). The rules depend on your nationality, so check them for your specific passport. Your passport must be valid for several months after the trip, and border officers may ask for a hotel booking and a return ticket.

When is the best time to visit the UAE?

The best months to travel are October, November, and March. During these months it is warm during the day, and the sea is already or still warm. December and February suit those who do not handle heat well, but evenings can be cool. July and August are only for those who really love intense heat.

Which emirates have a ban on alcohol?

A complete alcohol ban applies only in Sharjah: alcohol is not sold in hotels or restaurants. In the other emirates, alcohol is served in licensed venues, and in Ajman it is sold freely. You cannot take alcohol out of Ajman to other emirates.

What is included in all-inclusive packages at UAE hotels?
