Marina Bay Sands is an integrated resort on the shore of Marina Bay in the center of Singapore. The complex opened in 2010, and its design was created by architect Moshe Safdie. Today it houses a hotel, a shopping mall, a casino, the ArtScience Museum, and theaters on one site. The hotel's three towers resemble a deck of cards, and the long SkyPark platform on top looks like a ship's deck. Every year the complex welcomes millions of guests and remains one of the city's most recognizable buildings.

How the hotel and rooms are set up

The hotel stands over the bay on three towers, each 57 stories high. An indoor water canal runs between the towers, with gondolas floating along it, and a garden with tropical plants is laid out nearby. Restaurants, cafes, and bars with city views are also located here. Guests do not need to go outside to get from their room to a restaurant or the shopping mall.

Rooms come with a TV, free Wi-Fi, a kettle, a set of toiletries, and slippers. The base Sands Premier Room starts at 45 m² and can accommodate up to three people (as of 09/2026, official website). The furniture in the rooms is made of dark wood. If you are traveling with family, book a room with two beds: there will be enough space for both adults and children.

The largest room in the hotel is called the Chairman Suite. Its windows offer views of the city, the bay, or the Gardens by the Bay park. This room is booked in advance, because during high season available options in the towers sell out quickly.

Pool on the 57th floor

The pool on the 57th floor is considered the hotel's main signature feature. It is 150 m long, and its edge runs along the platform's rim, so the water seems to merge with the horizon (according to Wikipedia). Only hotel guests can access it: entry is via key card through a separate elevator. Outsiders are not allowed on the floor, even with a ticket to the observation deck.

Tourists from different countries come to Singapore for this view. If you are not staying at the hotel, the pool can only be seen from the observation deck on the 56th floor.

Observation deck: tickets and hours

The SkyPark Observation Deck is located on the 56th floor of Tower 3. The entrance is near the Tower 3 driveway, and you can go up by elevator. From here you will see Gardens by the Bay, the Esplanade domes, and the panorama of the business district with its skyscrapers. In the evening, the deck is a good spot to watch the Spectra light show over the bay and the Singapore Flyer observation wheel.

Services and infrastructure of the complex

In addition to the hotel, the complex has a casino with 500 tables and slot machines (according to Wikipedia). For business guests, there is the Sands Expo convention center with an area of 120,000 m², and the theater with 2,183 seats hosts shows and concerts. The Shoppes mall covers 74,000 m² and features boutiques, restaurants, and viewing terraces.

The Banyan Tree Spa offers massage and facial and body treatments. Nearby there are beauty salons, a spacious gym, and an artificial ice rink that operates year-round. The complex can also host a wedding ceremony, because the hotel offers ready-made celebration packages. Staff assist foreign guests in English.

How to get there from Changi Airport

Hotel address: 10 Bayfront Avenue, Singapore. The nearest MRT station, Bayfront on the Circle and Downtown lines, is right next to the complex (according to Wikipedia). From Changi Airport, a taxi ride takes less than half an hour if you travel outside rush hour. Taking the MRT with one transfer takes longer, but is noticeably cheaper.

From the hotel you can walk to the waterfront and Merlion Park. The route on the map takes about 20 minutes, and along the way you will see the Singapore Flyer observation wheel. Walking along the promenade is pleasant in the evening, when the city turns on its lights and the Spectra show plays over the bay.
