Horseshoe Falls

The Horseshoe Falls are the widest and most powerful flow at Niagara. The Canadian bank runs right up to them, which is why most tourists come here.

What to see near the falls

There is plenty to see in the area around the falls. Nineteen species of gulls fly over the Niagara. The Butterfly Conservatory greenhouse is home to about 50 species of butterflies, and next to the botanical garden there is a floral clock made of six thousand plants (as of 09/2026, Niagara Parks website).
