Mayakovsky Park
In 1933, a public park was opened in the Meshchanskaya Grove on the banks of the Iset River, where merchants' dachas and folk festivals were located back in the 19th century. Until 1943, the recreation area, named after the proletarian poet Mayakovsky, was only a territory for citizens to walk, and only after the reconstruction of 1950-1960. an entrance front arch, two fountains, pavilions, sculptures, a boat station and a cinema appeared here.
Over the 88 years of its existence, many transformations have taken place in Mayakovsky Park: the amusement sector, the tree nursery and the “Town of Fairy Tales” have opened. In order to revive the traditions of the Russian Cossacks, in 2016 it was decided to open the Aramilskaya Sloboda suburban complex, the heart of which was the Cossack Ostrog ethnographic center. The fenced area of 1 hectare takes visitors back to 1675. The atmosphere of an old settlement is created by an observation tower, a residential hut, courtyard buildings and a barnyard populated by goats, horses, chickens and sheep.
