6 Dubai bars with panoramic city views

6 Dubai bars with panoramic city views

In Dubai you can pay for a ticket to a skyscraper observation deck. Or you can walk into a bar on the top floor of a hotel, order one drink, and see the same city.

The six bars below are located in hotels and a yacht club, almost all on upper floors. In Downtown you'll find yourself at the foot of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. In Dubai Marina you'll be surrounded by yachts, water, and the Palm Jumeirah. Pick a spot based on the view you want to see in the evening.

What to know about Dubai bars

💡 In short:

  • Book a table in advance; in the evening you're unlikely to find a free spot by the window.
  • Check the dress code when booking; hotel bars have one.
  • Arrive at sunset so you see the city both in daylight and lit up at night.

All the bars in this selection operate inside hotels or a yacht club, and you reach them through the lobby. The format varies: some are lounges with a DJ and cocktails, others are restaurants with a full menu.

Downtown and Dubai Marina are two different evenings. In Downtown you look at the Burj Khalifa and the fountains; in the Marina, at the water and yachts. The districts are about half an hour apart by taxi (on the map), so you can't cover both in one evening.

1. NEOS: Burj Khalifa views

NEOS occupies the 63rd floor of the Address Downtown hotel in Downtown (as of 09/2026, visitdubai.com). The panoramic windows look out over the Burj Khalifa and the fountain complex at its base, the largest in the world. The interior is understated, the bar menu is long, and a DJ plays in the evening.

This is a bar, not a restaurant, so plan dinner separately and come here for a cocktail and the panorama. Book a table in advance, especially on weekends.

2. Bar 44 and Palm Jumeirah views

Bar 44 is on the 44th floor of the Grosvenor House hotel in Dubai Marina (as of 09/2026, marriott.com). The windows wrap all the way around, so you can see the Persian Gulf, the Palm Jumeirah, and the lights of the Marina. At sunset guests are welcomed with champagne, and in the evening the music shifts to blues and jazz.

Hot appetizers are served with the drinks, so a couple of hours here pass without noticing. Book a window table in advance: on Fridays you're unlikely to get one without a reservation.

3. Skyview bar at Burj Al Arab

Skyview Bar is located on the 27th floor of Burj Al Arab, about 200 meters up (as of 09/2026, visitdubai.com). The panoramic windows look out over the emirate's coastline with its white beaches. The cocktail menu is designed for people who know their drinks.

During the day and early evening they serve tea here; later it becomes a classic bar with a view. Reservations are mandatory: the hotel is closed to walk-in guests, and you won't get inside without a booking.

4. Aquara at Dubai Marina yacht club

Aquara operates on the ground floor of the yacht club in Dubai Marina (as of 09/2026, dubaimarinayachtclub.com). Tables sit among yachts and skyscrapers, with the lagoon water right beside you. The food here is seafood-focused: shellfish, fresh fish, and a wide selection of cold starters.

During the day people come for the marina view; in the evening it's a relaxed dinner by the water. If you're looking for dinner by the water rather than a bar at altitude, this is your pick.

5. Observatory Lounge above the Marina

Observatory Lounge occupies the 52nd floor of the Dubai Marriott Harbour hotel in Dubai Marina (as of 09/2026, marriott.com). The windows open onto a panorama of the Marina and Palm Jumeirah. The kitchen blends Asian and Latin American dishes.

A steakhouse operates on the same floor if you want a full dinner rather than just small plates. The atmosphere here is calmer than in the Marina's club bars.

6. Buddha-Bar at Grosvenor House

Buddha-Bar occupies two floors of the Grosvenor House hotel in Dubai Marina (as of 09/2026, buddhabar-dubai.com). The kitchen combines dishes from China, Japan and Thailand, and the interior features red and gold chandeliers. Panoramic windows overlook the Marina.

Before your visit, check the hours and reservation policy on the official website. If you are staying at the same hotel, you can walk to the bar.

  • Location: Grosvenor House hotel, Dubai Marina, two floors.
  • Who it's for: you want Asian cuisine and a bar atmosphere with music.
  • Book Grosvenor House on Trip.com.

⁉️🤔 Frequently asked questions

What time should you arrive at Dubai bars with a view?

An hour before sunset, while window tables are still available. Check the exact opening hours of each bar when booking, because they change during high season.

Do you need to reserve a table at NEOS and Bar 44?

Yes, it's better to book in advance. On weekends, reserve a table a day or two ahead, especially if you're going with a group.

Is there a dress code at Dubai bars?

Hotel bars almost always have a dress code, most often smart casual. Don't show up in beachwear in the evening, even if you were at the beach during the day.

Where is the best view of Palm Jumeirah?

From Bar 44 at Grosvenor House and from Observatory Lounge at Dubai Marriott Harbour. Both are in Dubai Marina, and their windows overlook the bay, the island and the lights of the area.

Can you come to a bar without having dinner?

Yes, these are primarily bars: you can order just one cocktail and stay for the view. If you want to eat, choose Aquara, Observatory Lounge or Buddha-Bar, which have full menus, while the others offer enough snacks to go with drinks.
